🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem🇮🇱 (7/4/26)[Prayer]

Personalities
1 Samuel 3:11-21
11Â And the Lord said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle.
12Â In that day I will perform against Eli all things which I have spoken concerning his house: when I begin, I will also make an end.
13Â For I have told him that I will judge his house for ever for the iniquity which he knoweth; because his sons made themselves vile, and he restrained them not.
14Â And therefore I have sworn unto the house of Eli, that the iniquity of Eli's house shall not be purged with sacrifice nor offering for ever.
15Â And Samuel lay until the morning, and opened the doors of the house of the Lord. And Samuel feared to shew Eli the vision.
16Â Then Eli called Samuel, and said, Samuel, my son. And he answered, Here am I.
17Â And he said, What is the thing that the Lord hath said unto thee? I pray thee hide it not from me: God do so to thee, and more also, if thou hide any thing from me of all the things that he said unto thee.
18Â And Samuel told him every whit, and hid nothing from him. And he said, It is the Lord: let him do what seemeth him good.
19Â And Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground.
20Â And all Israel from Dan even to Beersheba knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of the Lord.
21Â And the Lord appeared again in Shiloh: for the Lord revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the Lord.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Oh LORD,

Our One And Only God!

How Wonderful, How Excellent,

How Glorious Is Your Most Holy Name!

How Fitting and How Good It Is To Praise You,

And How Humbling It Is

To Even Begin to Recognize

The Extent of Your Glory!

For Your Are Without Limits,

Eternal,

Immortal,

Omnipotent and All-Knowing.

You Are The God Who Sees All.

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
God Bless America.

I Didn't Plan it that way...I promise you, I'm telling the truth, but my Morning Bible Reading landed on Deuteronomy 28. While that might not ring a bell right away, I'll remind you.
Remember when we looked at the "Personality" of Moses? It took weeks, as the Torah follows the life of this man for 120 years. Moses went through a lot during this time, and recorded his experiences in the First Five Books of the Bible. Deuteronomy 28 comes at the end of his journey, before he walks off into the sunset. Moses admonishes the New Nation to obey God, and they will flourish. They will be the head and not the tail, they will lend but not have to borrow, their barns will be full, and they will prosper and not fail. Then, in true "Good News/Bad News" fashion, Moses lists the curses that will follow if the New Nation forsakes God. They are the opposite of the Blessings...and more so. For this particular Reading to show up in my bookmarks on the Fourth of July, the 250th Birthday of our beloved USA, was quite a "coinkidink". You know how I feel about "coincidences!"
Little Samuel, still a youth, still an apprentice, and still sleeping on a little cot in the Tabernacle, hears from God at the tail end of the Period of the Judges in the Bible. Josephus, the Jewish Historian, estimates that the Period of the Judges lasted about 288 years. Other Historians estimate that the period was longer, using different criteria (such as the Death of Joshua) to measure the time. In any case, those years had many ups and downs, dependent upon the People's Reliance on God.
There's a Lesson There!
Have A Blessed Independence Day, Dear Friends!
