🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem🇮🇱 (7/3/26)[Prayer]

Personalities

1 Samuel 3:1-11

3 And the child Samuel ministered unto the Lord before Eli. And the word of the Lord was precious in those days; there was no open vision.

2 And it came to pass at that time, when Eli was laid down in his place, and his eyes began to wax dim, that he could not see;

3 And ere the lamp of God went out in the temple of the Lord, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep;

4 That the Lord called Samuel: and he answered, Here am I.

5 And he ran unto Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou calledst me. And he said, I called not; lie down again. And he went and lay down.

6 And the Lord called yet again, Samuel. And Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And he answered, I called not, my son; lie down again.

7 Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, neither was the word of the Lord yet revealed unto him.

8 And the Lord called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And Eli perceived that the Lord had called the child.

9 Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, Lord; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place.

10 And the Lord came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Almighty and Eternal God,

How Excellent is Your Name Over All The Earth!

You Alone Are Worthy of Praise,

For Your Alone Are Holy,

You Alone Are God,

You Alone Are The Most High!

Omnipotent,

Omniscient,

and Omnipresent,

You See The End From The Beginning

And The Beginning From The End.

 Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance

Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
God Bless America.

This weekend, we celebrate America's 250th Birthday. There were times when it looked as if we weren't going to make it, but here we are. I hope you have a very joyous Independence Day.

Samuel served in the Tabernacle during a dark time in Israel's History. The lawless and oppressive period of the "Judges" was about to come to a close. Enemies were all around, constantly raiding, religious institutions were corrupt and exploitative, and the People seemed to have no hope.

There are two clues in Today's Reading that explains the spiritual condition of the Nation.

And the word of the Lord was precious in those days; there was no open vision.(Verse 1)

and

And ere the lamp of God went out in the temple of the Lord, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep (Verse 3)

For decades, there had been no Prophet speaking to Israel directly from God. It was as if He had forgotten His People. There was a famine, not of bread, but of the Word f God. Ceremonies continued in the Tabernacle, but the institution was corrupt, its priests either apathetic or downright sinful, and the people were being exploited by the very establishment that was supposed to be their comfort and salvation.

All was not lost, however. The Lamp of the LORD had not gone out. This dry period would be ending soon.

Little Samuel, on his cot next to the Ark of the Covenant, was about to start a Revolution, and didn't even know it.

This dark period of time is similar to the 400 years between the Old Testament Prophet Malachi, and the opening of Matthew's Gospel. A lot happened in those 400 years, including the conquests of Alexander The Great, his death, the parceling out of his Empire, the saga of Cleopatra, the Rise of Rome, and other Earth-Shattering Events. The Apocryphal Books of the Maccabees has a lot of this fascinating History, and how it related to Israel. The events of Chanukha happened during this period. While there weren't any Prophets during the Inter-Testament times, God was still watching over His people. The Lamp didn't go out then either.

In our own Nation's History, we've had some tough times. It seemed that God "lost touch" with America more than once. What actually happened though, was that America had lost touch with HIM. He has always been there, and the Lamp has NOT gone out.

When God calls, He calls us individually. The Voice isn't always recognizable, and sometimes, like Samuel, we mistake the Call as "Religion" rather than "Faith".

But...once we know in our hearts that the call is from God, the correct response is:

"Here I Am...Speak, For Your Servant is Listening."

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

Blessed Is The nation Whose God Is The LORD(Psalm 33)

God Bless America.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Psalm 91

1 You who live in the shelter of the Most High,
who abide in the shadow of the Almighty,*
2 will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.’
3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
and from the deadly pestilence;
4 he will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
5 You will not fear the terror of the night,
or the arrow that flies by day,
6 or the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
or the destruction that wastes at noonday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only look with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 Because you have made the Lord your refuge,*
the Most High your dwelling-place,
10 no evil shall befall you,
no scourge come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.
12 On their hands they will bear you up,
so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the adder,
the young lion and the serpent you will trample under foot.

14 Those who love me, I will deliver;
I will protect those who know my name.
15 When they call to me, I will answer them;
I will be with them in trouble,
I will rescue them and honour them.
16 With long life I will satisfy them,
and show them my salvation.

Eli is recorded in Scripture as having bad eyesight, but, unfortunately for him, spectacles had not yet been invented. (Sorry about that!)
