The SSPX has published a “Profession of Catholic Faith” as part of communications with the Pope and the cardinals ahead of the planned episcopal consecrations and “in response to the chief and gravest dangers of our time.”
According to an open letter published by the Society of St. Pius X “to His Holiness Pope Leo XIV and to the Cardinals of the Holy Church” dated June 24, the leadership of the SSPX formulated its 17-chapter profession of Catholic Faith as a “necessary expression, peaceful and resolute, of our Faith” as the cardinals prepare to gather in consistory later this week.
“Today the Church suffers under the pressure of new forces, coming both from within and without, which push her in every possible direction, except – it seems to us – the right one,” the Society argues, adding, “In the face of such suffering, we cannot remain indifferent.”
Consequently, the Society maintains that “Tradition contains all the remedies for the deepest ills afflicting the Church and the world, for which solutions are sought in vain outside of it.”
“We are persuaded that, in the unstable and extremely perilous context that now confronts us, the finest contribution one can offer to the universal Church is that of a sincere and integral profession of Catholic Faith,” the fraternity of priests write.
The letter was accompanied by the Society’s “Profession of Catholic Faith,” broken into 17 chapters outlining 154 points of traditional doctrine while rejecting their corresponding modern errors.

Well, that’s 59 more than the previous good guy
Your “good guy” is in Hell according to St Padre Pio.
Religiosity BS.
Jesus would NOT approve.
Let Ebby Go
He’s on A roll...
I’ve read July 1st this goes critical.
Check the endnotes. This is all Magisterium teachings!
Unfortunately the two parties’ goals are not in agreement. Leo does not want to “save” the Church. He wants to subsume it in the world, to perhaps emulate the Church of England with its Royal Moslem head and total dissipation of moral and traditional tenets.
Is there a summary of where there is (purported) schism?
Specifically I know they reject John Paul’s 1992 Catechism and prefer the counsel of Trent (?) but is there a workable comparison of the two?
Like a malignant tumor in the human body, Bergoglio's synodal "church" subsists in the Catholic Church, also as a spritual, moral, and doctrinal malignant "tumor".
A malignant tumor does not peacefully "subsist" in a healthy body. Instead, it is an invasive, cancerous mass of abnormal cells that actively invades surrounding healthy tissue, evades the immune system, and draws away vital nutrients.
Whatever happened to Unam Sanctam? Oh yeah....roman catholics don’t like that. And it’s pretty clear neither does OMCET.
Note to self:
It’s hillarious when a prot, who belongs to one of any of the 33,000 to 47,000 prot denominations, lectures about Unam Sanctam.
Typical hypocrite.

“Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.” - Revelation 3:4
OK, ebby we are 4-5 days out from D-Day. Are you going down with the sspx cardboard ship? Talk intelligently. It is a grave matter. Souls are at risk. Action might be met with excommunication and a resulting schism by a huge number of sspx, by definition. I say this sincerely, schism would be a terrible shame for these people. Are you “in” with that result if it happens, ebby?
I will go first. I don’t think sspx will back down. I also think Pope Leo will throw them a bone. While I can only speculate, maybe he will name 1 Bishop - maybe one of their choice or maybe one of his choice. But I think he will go out of his way for a resolution.
Remember, talk intelligently. Not some cartoon network post or jibber jabber by the fired/discredited strickland or excommunicated vig. What say you, ebby?
