Worse than Germany: Italy's largest Catholic scouting organization approved a new policy amounting to an acknowledgment that adults who indulge in sexual vices cannot be excluded from leadership positions.
The document is titled ‘Identità di genere e orientamento sessuale e affettivo’ and was approved by the General Council in May.
It states that “emotional orientation and gender identity cannot constitute exclusion criteria" for adults from leadership roles.
Founded in 1974, AGESCI has approximately 183,000 members and more than 33,000 leaders across Italy.
AGESCI grounded its position in several Church documents, including the final document of the Synod on Youth (2018), the Synod on Synodality (2024), the Italian Synod (2025), and Amoris Laetitia by Pope Francis.

You are absolutely correct. It drove me, and other conservatives, out of Boy Scouts of America. They capture the leadership of an organization and make policies that they know are ugly to traditionalists, driving them out. Subsequently, the organization is destroyed.
It is only a matter of time before Pope Marx declares abortion is a good thing.
What could go wrong?
It is axiomatic that if you allow openly LGBTQ+ individuals into positions of leadership, they will eventually transform that organization into their own image. LGBTQ+ is a cult, a religion unto itself, and their own values and priorities will soon dominate any organization in which they gain influence.
There are two places where there are a lot of Dicks, Priesthood and the military, just sayin.
