Masses of pilgrims in Saudi Arabia threw pebbles at a large pillar in a symbolic ritual on Wednesday, one of the final days of the Hajj as Muslims around the world started celebrating the Islamic holiday of Eid al-Adha.
Pilgrims in Mina, Saudi Arabia, at the annual Islamic pilgrimage chanted “Allahu akbar,” or God is great, while throwing pebbles in a ritual seen as a symbolic stoning of the devil. The act also is seen as a symbol of rejecting evil and a commemoration of the Prophet Ibrahim’s rejection of temptation when the devil tried to dissuade him from submitting to God’s will.
Large crowds of pilgrims moved through the sprawling Jamarat complex after arriving from Muzdalifah,
The last days of the Hajj in Saudi Arabia coincide with Eid al-Adha, or “Feast of Sacrifice,” which marks the willingness of Ibrahim, known as Abraham to Christians and Jews, to sacrifice his son Ishmael. During the holiday, Muslims typically slaughter sheep or cattle and distribute some of the meat to poor people.
This year, the physically demanding Hajj has been held in intense heat, which appeared to take a toll on some as they moved between holy sites. Medical teams stationed across Mina were seen treating several pilgrims.
Many poured water over their heads and faces to cool themselves under the scorching sun, while others carried umbrellas. Some pushed elderly relatives and loved ones in wheelchairs through the crowds toward the pillars so they could complete the ritual.
More than 1.5 million pilgrims have arrived from abroad, a Saudi official said Friday.

That’s a lot of Satan worshippers.
Right at home in the heat.
In pre-Islamic Arabia, litholatry (the reverence or worship of sacred stones and meteors) was widespread. Arab tribes would touch, stroke, or kiss sacred rocks to absorb their spiritual blessing (barakah) or to seal oaths and covenants.
This "black stone of the Kaaba" is - in my opinion - the same 'Black stone of Emesa' - the icon of El-Gabal (see Elgabalus)

Pre-Islamic Arabs engaged in ritualized stone-throwing ceremonies. Historically, throwing stones at rock heaps or pillars (jamarat) in the valley of Mina was tied to ancient customs, which some scholars link to boundary marking, fertility rites, or casting away bad omens.
In Islam, this act is strictly defined as a symbolic Stoning of the Devil. It commemorates the narrative of Abraham, who threw pebbles at Satan when the devil tried to tempt him into disobeying God's command to sacrifice his son. It symbolizes a Muslim’s internal struggle against sin and evil
NOTE that for Islam, Satan (called "Shaitan") is NOT a fallen angel -- Shaitan is a DJINN (Genie) -- as per Islam, angels were made from air, man from earth and djinn from fire
Where are the toilets and how do you get to them!?
Cult
Sort of a warm up act.
I can smell the stink in this picture.
Abraham didn’t nearly sacrifice Ishmael, it was Issac. And his knife didn’t draw blood before the engel spoke, as portrayed in the sick ass Koran. Bloodthirsty wannabe Jewish prophet, that Mad Mohammed.
Pretty big cult.
The Roman historian Herodian (c. 170–240 AD) explicitly states that the Stone of Emesa was a baetyl that “fell from heaven” (History of the Empire, Book V).
Islamic Hadith tradition records the exact same cosmic origin for the Ka’aba stone: “The Black Stone descended from paradise...” (Sunan an-Nasa’i). Both are geologically identified by historians as iron-nickel meteorites or impact tektites.
Herodian describes the Emesa stone as a massive, unworked conical black stone with a smooth, dark surface featuring small prominent ridges and markings, which Romans interpreted as a symbolic depiction of the Sun.
The Black Stone of Mecca, before it was fragmented by centuries of conflict, was historically described by early observers as an irregular, dark-colored stone approximately one cubit in size, polished smooth by human touch
the most stunning piece of evidence is the NAME:
The emesa stone was El-Gabal (אֵל הַגָּבָל). i.e. God of the mountain
When the stone arrived in Mecca, it was placed in a sanctuary nestled inside a jagged valley surrounded by mountains (Mount Abu Qubays). The pre-Islamic Arabs worshipped it under the umbrella of Allāt and Al-Lāh (The Deity). The linguistic root of the Aramaic Gabal matches the Arabic concept of foundational shaping, fitting seamlessly into the landscape and theology of Mecca.
The timeline:
272 AD - the black stone is last recorded at Emesa
380 AD - Emperor Theodosius bans pagan cults. the Stone disappears
500 AD - black stone smuggled to the Hejaz
741 AD - the first explicity mention of Mecca by name in De Haeresibus (Concerning Heresies), written by the Christian theologian St. John of Damascus
Writing in Greek under the Umayyad Caliphate, he was a high-ranking tax official in Damascus before becoming a monk, giving him direct access to real-time information about Arabian rituals. He explicitly isolates the stone from the building:
“They also call us idolaters because we venerate the cross... but we say to them: ‘And how is it that you rub yourselves against a stone in your Chabatha [Kaaba], and express your love for the stone by kissing it?’”
That was “Abraham” - the mohammedans have ‘Ibrahim’ who, if you read the Q, isn’t the same.
the same way the mohammedans have “isa” who definitely ain’t the same as “Jesus” if you read the Q and compare it to the previous 700 years of writing about Jesus
Far too many by my count.
Quite.
That was founded by a child molester.
Islime is just pure unadulterated wickedness.
Can you bet on Kalshi on the number of deaths on the Hajj? I looked it up and there was a huge variance on the number of deaths last year but I’ll take as being as good as it gets the official Saudi government number of 1,300+
That global warming again!
Pretty soon, the hajj will be impossible?!
Also called “The Culling of the Herd”
What toilets? And don’t shake hands with anyone.
