Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Dear Father in Heaven,
Blessed Are You, Oh LORD,
Our God,
King of the Universe,
Ancient of Days,
Our Rock and Our Redeemer!
You Alone Are Worthy of Praise,
For You Alone Are Worthy;
You Alone Are Holy;
You Alone Are Righteous and Just;
And You Alone Are The One True God.
How Wonderful Are Your Precepts;
How Precious Is Your WORD!
How Eternal and Sure Are Your Promises!

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

One of the men working on my house had a tattoo on his arm that looked like a bunch of handwriting. I asked him if I could look at it.

Blessed be the LORD my Rock,
Who trains my hands for war,
And my fingers for battle—

"Aha!" I said. "That's the first verse of Psalm 144!"

"Yes, it is!" he replied, surprised that I knew that.

"I like the last line too," I said. "In fact, you NEED the last line to make the first line work."

"What's the last line?" he asked.

"Blessed are the people whose God is the LORD!" I replied.

Actually, the whole Psalm is great, but one only has so much skin on one's arm.

Today, on Memorial Day, we REMEMBER. We all have different ways of remembering, but Today is the one when we remember the profound dedication and sacrifices made to preserve our Freedoms. We remember Individuals, and Battalions. We Remember Loved Ones, and People we've never met. It's important that we never forget the Price of Liberty.

Moses put great importance on Remembering. He told the People to talk about God with their children when got up and when they sat down. He told them to bind the Law onto their foreheads (their MINDS), and onto their Right Arm (Their ACTIONS). Write them on your Doorposts and onto your gates.

Never Forget.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
