🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem 🇮🇱(5/9/26)[Prayer]

A New Study For A New Year: Personalities
Deuteronomy 1:33-46
33 Who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, to shew you by what way ye should go, and in a cloud by day.
34 And the Lord heard the voice of your words, and was wroth, and sware, saying,
35 Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see that good land, which I sware to give unto your fathers.
36 Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him will I give the land that he hath trodden upon, and to his children, because he hath wholly followed the Lord.
37 Also the Lord was angry with me for your sakes, saying, Thou also shalt not go in thither.
38 But Joshua the son of Nun, which standeth before thee, he shall go in thither: encourage him: for he shall cause Israel to inherit it.
39 Moreover your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it.
40 But as for you, turn you, and take your journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea.
41 Then ye answered and said unto me, We have sinned against the Lord, we will go up and fight, according to all that the Lord our God commanded us. And when ye had girded on every man his weapons of war, ye were ready to go up into the hill.
42 And the Lord said unto me, Say unto them. Go not up, neither fight; for I am not among you; lest ye be smitten before your enemies.
43 So I spake unto you; and ye would not hear, but rebelled against the commandment of the Lord, and went presumptuously up into the hill.
44 And the Amorites, which dwelt in that mountain, came out against you, and chased you, as bees do, and destroyed you in Seir, even unto Hormah.
45 And ye returned and wept before the Lord; but the Lord would not hearken to your voice, nor give ear unto you.
46 So ye abode in Kadesh many days, according unto the days that ye abode there.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Our Lord and Heavenly Father
You Alone Are Holy and Sanctified beyond Comprehension.
Like the People of Israel in Ancient Times,
We Are Given a Choice
A Decision that Will Alter Our Lives Forever
Choosing to Serve You is Not Always Easy,
But it Is Always the RIGHT Decision to Make.
The World and its idols are so tempting,
And it always seems easier to 'go with the flow",
But in the end, that choice leads to death.
Give Us Courage and A Right Spirit Within,
That We Serve You Out Of Love,
Because You First loved Us!
Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
”The Greatest Of these Is Love.”
If you would like to be on or off the Daily Ping List, please let me know.

I had the whole day off Thursday, and the weather was beautiful, so I hopped on the bike a RODE. I've had a couple of decent rides so far, and usually like to visit my brothers who live in SE Massachusetts, about 30 miles away. My wheels hardly ever touch a highway, as I prefer tree-shaded back roads through residential areas. It may take longer, but it's so much nicer. Because there aren't a lot of signs on these routes, it's necessary to navigate by means of landmarks: a Town Hall here, a White Steepled Church there, a Civil War Monument, a Public Park, or a small factory. Sometimes, I even have to consult my Road Map of Massachusetts, lovingly preserved in plastic in my Saddle Bag.
I love Road Maps. I have a bunch of them: Massachusetts, Miami/Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties, and New York State. I also have one that fell out of a National Geographic at a yard sale. It's of The Entire Nile River on one side, and the Streets of Cairo on the other. Moses would have found that one quite useless, as he didn't want to "Tour" Egypt. He just wanted to get OUT!.
My Brother was happy to see me, and we had a nice conversation. He's even more of a "Luddite" than I am. He REALLY hates computers and Smart Phones. Both of us still have Flip Phones, and neither of us will be doing any upgrading any time soon.
Since both of us are over 70, we were doing the usual bemoaning of the state of the current generation.
We decided that the overuse of Screen Time had robbed the Youth of several skills:
1. Troubleshooting: You can no longer take something apart, solder a loose connection, and put it back together, fixed.
2. Problem Solving: One no longer "figures things out". One just GOOGLES it.
3. Critical Thinking: If the computer says it is so, it is so.
4. Reading a Road Map: No need for that, since GPS has made them obsolete.
5. Giving Directions: See "Road Maps" above.
Moses could have used a Road Map of the Sinai Desert, but God had a purpose for every stop along the way. Moses remembered every stop for those 40 years, and kept them, like a Road Map, in his head. Wth Moses, the way was marked by Landmarks: (An Oasis, a Rock, a Mountain, a Well), Events: (Manna, Quail, Water from the Rock, Return of the Twelve Spies, Etc), and Battles: (Sihon, Og, The Amalakites, etc). GPS would not have contained any of these precious details.
This aspect of Moses's Personality really appeals to me, as I travel in a similar fashion.
Just the other day, my other brother asked me for directions to my house. He wanted to know what exit to take off the highway. I replied:
"The One That is at The Mercedes Dealership"
I had no idea what the exit number was because I had never needed to!

Amen to your word and prayer. I like maps too. In Japan they had great map books, one called Mapple, that was 50 years ago. I explored all the back roads and little villages in the mountains around the area we lived. Pleasant memories.

Love maps! Have no use for the GPS. My kids tease me about my reluctance to “modernize”...
Joining in prayer. God bless.

Psalm 91
1 You who live in the shelter of the Most High,
who abide in the shadow of the Almighty,*
2 will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.’
3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
and from the deadly pestilence;
4 he will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
5 You will not fear the terror of the night,
or the arrow that flies by day,
6 or the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
or the destruction that wastes at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only look with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the Lord your refuge,*
the Most High your dwelling-place,
10 no evil shall befall you,
no scourge come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.
12 On their hands they will bear you up,
so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the adder,
the young lion and the serpent you will trample under foot.
14 Those who love me, I will deliver;
I will protect those who know my name.
15 When they call to me, I will answer them;
I will be with them in trouble,
I will rescue them and honour them.
