🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem 🇮🇱(5/5/26)[Prayer]

A New Study For A New Year: Personalities
Numbers 27:13-23
12 And the Lord said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given unto the children of Israel.
13 And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother was gathered.
14 For ye rebelled against my commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before their eyes: that is the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.
15 And Moses spake unto the Lord, saying,
16 Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,
17 Which may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the congregation of the Lord be not as sheep which have no shepherd.
18 And the Lord said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him;
19 And set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight.
20 And thou shalt put some of thine honour upon him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient.
21 And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask counsel for him after the judgment of Urim before the Lord: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.
22 And Moses did as the Lord commanded him: and he took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation:
23 And he laid his hands upon him, and gave him a charge, as the Lord commanded by the hand of Moses.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father in Heaven
Hallowed be Your Most Holy Name!
How We Long For Your Kingdom,
How We Wait For Your Will to be Done,
Here on earth, as it already is, in Heaven!
You Are Our Peace,
Our Wholeness,
Our Shalom,
Our Security,
Our Prosperity,
and Our Future.
We are nothing without You.
Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
”The Greatest Of these Is Love.”

Psalm 91
1 You who live in the shelter of the Most High,
who abide in the shadow of the Almighty,*
2 will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.’
3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
and from the deadly pestilence;
4 he will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
5 You will not fear the terror of the night,
or the arrow that flies by day,
6 or the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
or the destruction that wastes at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only look with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the Lord your refuge,*
the Most High your dwelling-place,
10 no evil shall befall you,
no scourge come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.
12 On their hands they will bear you up,
so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the adder,
the young lion and the serpent you will trample under foot.
14 Those who love me, I will deliver;
I will protect those who know my name.
15 When they call to me, I will answer them;
I will be with them in trouble,
I will rescue them and honour them.

People tell me I shoulda been a lawyer. I used to tease back that I couldn't be a lawyer because I flunked Latin. Perhaps they said this because I am always arguing for Justice. One of the most common things that came from my mouth growing up was:
"THAT'S NOT FAIR!!!"
Whether it was the whole class getting detention because of the infraction of one student, or a false accusation, or uneven distribution of Halloween Candy, that was my go-to phrase.
Attempting to right the wrongs of society got me into more trouble than it was worth...and often, the wrongs wouldn't get righted, and I got left holding the bag.
It took many years and many bag-holdings before I realized that "Life isn't Always Fair."
One of the biggest injustices in history, I mused, was that Moses didn't get to go into the Promised Land. After ALL THAT HE WENT THROUGH! It wasn't fair. But...Can The God of The Universe be "unfair"? Is He unjust? Did He short-change Moses? We've been looking at the personality of Moses now for many weeks. The more we delve into his personality, and the people he was chosen to lead, the more we see that God's decision to take Moses before the "Big Day" was not only fair, but was wise and merciful.
Here are some thoughts.
1. Moses was a Shepherd, not a General: There were times when Moses would give up his own life for his People. That's what a "Good" Shepherd does. A General seeks to preserve his own life, and that of his men, as they lead them into Battle. There is an apocryphal statement attributed to General George Patton about making the enemy die for HIS country. (Different sources quote different words, but I think you know of the quote") That gruffness seemed to be present in Joshua's Personality, but not in Moses. It was time to pass the torch.
2. The Cult of Personality: If Moses had triumphantly led his people into the Promised Land, they would have instantly made him King. If he lived out his life there, and was buried in a Tomb, he would have become a Tourist Trap and a center for the Cult Worship of his remains. If there is any doubt about this, look what happened to the Bronze Snake. They gave the snake a name, brought it with them into the Promised Land, installed it as a Relic, and then began to worship it. King Hezekiah eventually destroyed it, and the Cult that went with it. Imagine if the People had the actual BONES of Moses. (((SHUDDER))).
3. Moses' Temper: Moses' Explosive temper caused him to get in trouble more than once. The first time we hear of it, it was when he murdered the Egyptian Overseer. In the Movie "The Ten Commandments", the murder is shown as a provoked and even a self-defensive move. But, the Bible doesn't say that. It just says that he saw the Egyptian abusing a slave and so Moses killed him. Just like that. God used this incident to get Moses out of Egypt and into the Desert for 40 years of training, but that didn't make it "OK".
4. Regarding God As Holy: As a Christian, I rejoice in a relationship with my Creator. As the song says,
"He walks with me, and He talks with me, and He tells me I am His Own..."
But, intimacy should never turn into disrespect, and I can never lose consciousness of God's incredible Holiness. When Moses struck the Rock after God told him to just speak to the Rock, Moses allowed his Temper to supersede his obedience. He allowed his rage to turn his intimacy into contempt. That was the biggest sin of his life.
So it really was "fair" to prevent Moses from entering the Land. I'm sure he was welcomed into Heaven, as he will show up again with Jesus at the Transfiguration.
Meanwhile, it is necessary to anoint a New Leader. He's going to have to be tough, smart, and even ruthless. Someone with a Positive attitude who isn't afraid of Giants. Someone who takes on the Impossible and gets it done.
Someone like Joshua.

I like the Break down of Reasons for Moses Not Leading into the Promised Land. That Fact perplexed me But I knew God Had Higher Purposes to accomplish.

Amen. We pray that the gay “pride” event in Israel will die so as to cancel the opportunity for Satan to get a foothold.
