🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem 🇮🇱(4/22/26)[Prayer]

A New Study For A New Year: Personalities
Exodus 33:11-23
11 And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.
12 And Moses said unto the Lord, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.
13 Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people. 14 And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.
15 And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.
16 For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.
17 And the Lord said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.
18 And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.
19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.
20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.
21 And the Lord said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:
22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:
23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father in Heaven,
Magnified and Sanctified is Your Most Holy Name!
How Glorious and Wonderful You Are,
And How Gracious and Merciful.
For You Alone Are Worthy of Praise and Worship,
You Alone Are Holy,
You Alone Are The One True God.
Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
”The Greatest Of these Is Love.”

The man was brilliant. He had a number of degrees and had them on his wall, and was a practicing lawyer with a huge clientele.
He was also wealthy. He lived in a gated cul-de-sac WITHIN a gated community in one of the richest towns in South Florida.
He was religious. He had been to the Holy Land many times and studied under some of the most celebrated Rabbis in great centers of learning.
He was compassionate. He had adopted two underprivileged children from overseas, and one of them suffered from autism.
And, he was handsome. Tall, dark, with imposing chiseled features, he must have made quite an impression in the courtroom.
Anyway, I had just finished the children's music lesson, when I got into a conversation with him about Israel. I happened to mention that I had visited Rachel's Tomb in Bethlehem. He immediately took umbrage and actually SCOLDED me in a "Summation to the Jury" kind of voice, and intoned:
"Rachel's Tomb is NOT in Bethlehem! It's in Safed! I KNOW because I have been there when I studied with the Great Rebbe! YOU'RE WRONG!"
I shrugged "whatever" because I didn't know what to say. I didn't oppose him because maybe he knew something I didn't. But I was SURE Rachel's Tomb was in Bethlehem. It just wasn't worth arguing about.
Later that week, I got an e-mail from the agency. I had been fired from teaching this man's children. Was he testing me to see if I would fight for what I believed was true? Was he ashamed because he consulted his Rabbi and realized I was right? Was it my breath? LOL. I'll never know. But I was somewhat relieved as the children had been somewhat difficult. The agency said that they had nobody else to send because, as far as "special-needs" kids were concerned, I was the one they recommended.
Sad story all around.
Moses was once very wealthy. He had the Wealth of Egypt at his feet. He was extremely well-educated. He had been trained in all the Political, Legal, Social, Religious, and Mystical Vicissitudes of Ancient Egypt. He was a born leader, and, if he looked anything like Charlton Heston, was a handsome man. The Bible tells us that he was vigorous and healthy, even in his old age.
But, along with all those good traits, Moses also possessed some bad ones. He could be arrogant, a micro-manager, stubborn, and not a little presumptuous.
I can't even imagine arguing with the Creator of the Universe, much less asking to see HIS Face. And yet, when Moses does that, God, in His Infinite Mercy, sets up the Meeting.
God knows that a direct confrontation will kill Moses, just as sure as if he were to fly into the Sun. So God hides Moses in a cleft in a rock, covers it with His Hand, and passes by. Moses only gets to see the back of God, but even that is enough to change him forever.
Christian Scholars compare this to our being "Hidden in Christ". There are even wonderful old Hymns that interpret this event as an Analogy of The Wound in Christ's Side, in which we are hidden from the Wrath of a Righteous God.
(Rock of Ages, cleft for me, Let me hide myself in Thee)
Who can experience that and not be changed?

Psalm 91
1 You who live in the shelter of the Most High,
who abide in the shadow of the Almighty,*
2 will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.’
3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
and from the deadly pestilence;
4 he will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
5 You will not fear the terror of the night,
or the arrow that flies by day,
6 or the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
or the destruction that wastes at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only look with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the Lord your refuge,*
the Most High your dwelling-place,
10 no evil shall befall you,
no scourge come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.
12 On their hands they will bear you up,
so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the adder,
the young lion and the serpent you will trample under foot.
14 Those who love me, I will deliver;
I will protect those who know my name.
15 When they call to me, I will answer them;
I will be with them in trouble,
I will rescue them and honour them.
