Precious Lord,
You have redeemed us. You have called us by Name. We are Yours. What a beautiful blessing it is to belong to You and to be called by the One Whose Name is above all names. We are privileged to be Yours, Most Holy God. You are the eternal God of the universe, and underneath are Your everlasting arms.
Father, may we speak these words of faith over our President and his cabinet, our military men and women, and all our first-responders. We pray that when they are in difficult situations, they will remember Your promises. When they walk through tedious times of trial, rivers of opposition shall not overflow them, and flames of fire shall not kindle against them. They have the divine protection of the Most Holy God. You are the Lord, our God, the Holy One of Israel, our Savior. Every one who is called by Your Name is formed by You and created for Your glory. What a blessed assurance of Your love and Your commitment to us!
Bless Your beloved Israel, Lord, and prosper her. Stir up Your people there, Lord, and encourage them to share the good news of the Gospel, that all may be led to repentance.
Grant that our president and his cabinet would choose to respond to their positions of responsibility with Your righteousness and with the wisdom that will most certainly be given those who request it. Father, raise up for us a bold generation of leaders who will respect the truths upon which this country was founded. Help us not to compromise the fundamental beliefs of freedom for all American citizens. And may we treasure these beliefs that so many have died to defend.
Father, it is never pleasant to participate in war, but we acknowledge there are times it is a necessity. Please grant Your wisdom to our Commander in Chief and the military leaders as they navigate this struggle with Iran. We know You will not fail to lead our President and all those who are standing in defense of our nation and Israel. Thank You for Your faithfulness and Your truth that endures unto all generations.
Lord, because You paid the tremendous price to redeem all of us who believe, help us to remember to pray for our brothers and sisters everywhere who are persecuted daily for their belief in Jesus. Jesus, Precious Jesus. How we thank You for the finished work of the Cross. So great is the love that You have shown. We can do nothing to earn this gift, Lord. Help us simply to receive it in faith and to allow our hearts to be changed by You for all eternity. Hear our prayers this Blessed Lord’s Day, in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

The times I’ve approached a boss to request a raise, I started the meeting with that verse. It was effective.
