🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem 🇮🇱(4/6/26)[Prayer]

A New Study For A New Year: Personalities

Exodus 11:1- 11 And the Lord said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether.

2 Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, jewels of silver and jewels of gold.

3 And the Lord gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people.

4 And Moses said, Thus saith the Lord, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt:

5 And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the first born of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.

6 And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.

7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the Lord doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.

8 And all these thy servants shall come down unto me, and bow down themselves unto me, saying, Get thee out, and all the people that follow thee: and after that I will go out. And he went out from Pharaoh in a great anger.

9 And the Lord said unto Moses, Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.

10 And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh: and the Lord hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father In Heaven,

Holy and Sanctified is Your Most Wonderful Name!

You Alone Are Worthy;

You Alone Are LORD;

You Alone Are The Most High!

You Alone Are The One True God Of Abraham,

You Are The Ancient Of Days,

LORD of Hosts,

and Rock of All Ages,

Our Creator,

You Have Made Us,

and All That Is.

You Are The Same Yesterday,

Today, and Forever.

Your Loving Kindness Is from Everlasting To Everlasting.

Even When We Are Unfaithful,

You Are Always Faithful.

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.

”The Greatest Of these Is Love.”

Just yesterday, a dear friend asked remarked that she wished that she wished that this daily Thread was in Book Form, so she could share it with friends. I turned around and looked at the big IKEA shelving at the racks of binders containing this thread from a small portion of sixteen years of daily writing: Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, and Revelation. That's all. Just those six Books of the Bible. That's without the pictures, comments, and opening prayer. Yet it still takes up several shelves. However, the entire sixteen years is up in the Cloud somewhere, and is also beautifully archived right here on this site. Anyway, the point I'm making is that, if one writes every day for sixteen years, that's is a huge volume of writing!

The reason I bring this up while studying the Personality of Moses is because Moses is credited with writing the Torah. That's a huge achievement, and, of course, there are modernist scholars who will disagree. Jesus disagreed with the liberal Scholars when He Himself referred to Moses as the Author. Not only that, but Moses had FORTY YEARS to write things down. It's generally accepted that Joshua tidied up the end of Deuteronomy, where the narrator describes the passing of Moses. Other than that, Deuteronomy is written in the First Person, and it's Moses telling the story. His Personality comes out vividly as he tells his own story and the story of his People and his God. After the somewhat dry legal language of Leviticus, and the meticulous numbers in Numbers, Deuteronomy comes across as a visit with an elderly veteran, sitting at his feet, and listening to amazing stories. The old vet might repeat himself now and again, but that's OK because his stories are so wonderful.

As far as the narratives in Genesis (before Moses's lifetime) we can infer that Moses was inspired by The Holy Spirit to fill in the gaps in History.

I side with Jesus, Paul, and nearly all the Scholars and Bible Commentators up to the Twentieth Century, in ascribing the Torah to Moses.

As I look up at the IKEA Shelves, groaning under the weight of just a few years of daily writing, I find it completely believable!

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
