🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem 🇮🇱(3/28/26)[Prayer]

A New Study For A New Year: Personalities

Exodus 6:28-30

28 And it came to pass on the day when the Lord spake unto Moses in the land of Egypt,

29 That the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, I am the Lord: speak thou unto Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I say unto thee.

30 And Moses said before the Lord, Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh hearken unto me?

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father,

Who Art in Heaven,

Magnified and Sanctified

Is Your Most Holy and Wonderful Name!

How Awesome You Are,

and How Glorious!

You Alone Are Worthy to Be Praised,

For You Alone Are My Strength And My Song,

My Rock and My Redeemer!

You Are The One True God Of Abraham,

And Know The End From The Beginning

and the Beginning From The End,

Because You ARE The Aleph~Tav,

The Alpha and the Omega,

The Beginning and The End of All Things.

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.

”The Greatest Of these Is Love.”

In this short passage of Scripture, we see a facet of Moses' Personality that a lot of Bible Scholars would prefer to gloss over.

God has given him a task. Why would God give him a job to do, and not the means to achieve it?

Yet, Moses expresses discouragement at his own inadequacy. Well, OF COURSE he's inadequate. We ALL are.

With God, however, ALL things are possible.

If Moses planned on freeing over a million slaves in his own power, then he was certain to fail.

As we continue reading, we will see that "God hardened Pharaoh's heart...". WHY would God do that? Why didn't He just free the slaves and get on with it? Why did He send all those horrible plagues? What about the ordinary Egyptians? What about the CHILDREN???

Kind, well-meaning, and ethical Jewish People have struggled with these questions for centuries. The Traditional Seder Service (Haggada) spills a drop of wine for each of the ten plagues, to symbolize loss. Some modern "progressive" Haggadas eliminate the plagues altogether because they're so violent and nasty.

As people have pondered these issues for millennia, I don't suppose I will be able to give a definitive answer either. But here's a thought:

Slavery was so entrenched in the society that it would take more than just a decree to end it. The Egyptians would have to be so demoralized and defeated that they would THRUST the Hebrews OUT of their country. The neighbors would even give up all their gold and jewels to BRIBE the Hebrews to Just LEAVE,

But that's not all. After the Hebrews leave, Pharaoh chases after them to bring them back. How's that for stubborn?

That being said, Moses knew it was impossible. The plagues and miracles were not meant to merely defeat Egypt, but to develop Moses' maturity in Faith.

He was, like Pharaoh, a tough nut to crack.

Just like his distant ancestors Abraham and Jacob, Moses wrestles with God.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

Psalm 91

1 You who live in the shelter of the Most High,
who abide in the shadow of the Almighty,*
2 will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.’
3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
and from the deadly pestilence;
4 he will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
5 You will not fear the terror of the night,
or the arrow that flies by day,
6 or the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
or the destruction that wastes at noonday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only look with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 Because you have made the Lord your refuge,*
the Most High your dwelling-place,
10 no evil shall befall you,
no scourge come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.
12 On their hands they will bear you up,
so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the adder,
the young lion and the serpent you will trample under foot.

14 Those who love me, I will deliver;
I will protect those who know my name.
15 When they call to me, I will answer them;
I will be with them in trouble,
I will rescue them and honour them.
