🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem 🇮🇱(3/2/26)[Prayer]

A New Study For A New Year: Personalities

Genesis 31:1-18

31 And he heard the words of Laban's sons, saying, Jacob hath taken away all that was our father's; and of that which was our father's hath he gotten all this glory.

2 And Jacob beheld the countenance of Laban, and, behold, it was not toward him as before.

3 And the Lord said unto Jacob, Return unto the land of thy fathers, and to thy kindred; and I will be with thee.

4 And Jacob sent and called Rachel and Leah to the field unto his flock,

5 And said unto them, I see your father's countenance, that it is not toward me as before; but the God of my father hath been with me.

6 And ye know that with all my power I have served your father.

7 And your father hath deceived me, and changed my wages ten times; but God suffered him not to hurt me.

8 If he said thus, The speckled shall be thy wages; then all the cattle bare speckled: and if he said thus, The ringstraked shall be thy hire; then bare all the cattle ringstraked.

9 Thus God hath taken away the cattle of your father, and given them to me.

10 And it came to pass at the time that the cattle conceived, that I lifted up mine eyes, and saw in a dream, and, behold, the rams which leaped upon the cattle were ringstraked, speckled, and grisled.

11 And the angel of God spake unto me in a dream, saying, Jacob: And I said, Here am I.

12 And he said, Lift up now thine eyes, and see, all the rams which leap upon the cattle are ringstraked, speckled, and grisled: for I have seen all that Laban doeth unto thee. 13 I am the God of Bethel, where thou anointedst the pillar, and where thou vowedst a vow unto me: now arise, get thee out from this land, and return unto the land of thy kindred.

14 And Rachel and Leah answered and said unto him, Is there yet any portion or inheritance for us in our father's house?

15 Are we not counted of him strangers? for he hath sold us, and hath quite devoured also our money.

16 For all the riches which God hath taken from our father, that is ours, and our children's: now then, whatsoever God hath said unto thee, do.

17 Then Jacob rose up, and set his sons and his wives upon camels;

18 And he carried away all his cattle, and all his goods which he had gotten, the cattle of his getting, which he had gotten in Padanaram, for to go to Isaac his father in the land of Canaan.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Abba Father!
You Are Clothed in Majesty!
You Are The Creator of All That Is.
And You Tell Us in Your Word,
That You Are The All in All,
And That In You,
All Things Hold Together.
You Are The Answer To All Our Questions,
All Our Theories,
All Our Wonders!

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.

Ahhh the Site is Up and Running again, and, it seems, better than ever.

This morning, we look at the "Breaking Point" in an intolerable situation. Looking in from the outside, many of us will ponder:

"WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH THESE GUYS?"

For over Twenty years this little "tribe" in the middle of nowhere could have been happy, healthy, supportive of each other, prosperous, and loving. Laban could have been the jolly patriarch of a huge family, with Children, Grandchildren, Brothers and Sisters, In-Laws, Nieces and Nephews, all gathered around the campfire singing "Kumbayah", as their enormous combined flocks and herds graze peacefully around them.

But Noooooooo!

The Personalities of the People involved would never had allowed this to happen.

Jacob came to them as a fugitive, so he could have been a bit more humble.

Laban could have bent the rules a bit, and granted Jacob the Love of his Life.

Leah could have refused to be a part of the Deception.

Rachel had to have known what was going on, and could have refused to comply before it was too late.

Jacob could have been kinder to Leah.

Rachel could have been content to have a husband who loved her whether or not she produced children.

Laban could have kept his promises (which he didn't) and paid Jacob fairly for his labor.

Coulda, Woulda, Shouda.

Remember that God sees the End From The Beginning, and the Beginning From The End. If these horrendous dynamics hadn't occurred in this extremely dysfunctional family, Jacob would have never gone back to Canaan, Jacob would never have become "Israel", the tribe of Judah would probably never have ended up in Bethlehem, Ruth the Moabitis would have never met Boaz, a shepherd named David might never have been born, and that Star would never have shone over a Stable, nor would the Angels have anything to sing about

It's All Connected.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

”Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.” (Hosea 6:3 NIV)

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
