Christians are not reading the word.
Psalm 122:6
King James Version
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
Yes, pray for the peace, but Christians get it wrong when they read that god would bless those who blessed Abraham’s children and curse those who curse them. But here is where they get it wrong— God isn’t commanding us to serve the secular state of Israel. He is talking about the children of Abraham by faith. I don’t have to serve faithless people. Jesus turned tables over and beat the people that needed to be beaten.
We bless people, we don’t wait hand and foot on a secular state. They use it against us, for manipulation. Let Israel arm itself. They have nukes. We don’t have to fight for them and shed our blood.
I don’t get antisemitism and I won’t listen to those who practice it.
I have stopped listening to several commentators who started voicing hatred of Jews. Sounds like KKK or 1950’s John Birch Society blather.
It is pointless and ignorant.
Where does it say that in the word?
Genesis 12:2-3
King James Version
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
While instances of it exist, both these phrases have been weaponized to silence any legitimate criticism or "noticing" of patterns of behavior.
From Chronicles magazine: Defining Anti-Semitism.
It is pointless and ignorant.
You reveal your own ignorance. The John Birch Society condemned racism and anti-Semitism, and had black and Jewish members.
Maybe we can’t help it.
Many conservative Jewish pundits like Josh Hammer and Mark Levin say that all people of European decent have antisemitism in our blood.
Another “Preacher” telling us what to think cuz he knows the mind of G-d and the real “truth”?
“Antisemitism and anti-Israel views are creeping into Christian and conservative communities”
That’s the approved Narrative for those looking to split America’s “Non-Leftists”.
America First is not Antisemitism.
Jewish Faith is not Zionism.
Supporting Israel’s right to exist is not selling out.
Recognizing Oct 7th deserves a complete and total wipe out of Ham-Ass in Gaza isn’t inhumane.
Ultra Orthodox separatism and their tax thieving grift is really bad for America isn’t antisemitism.
These can all be true at the same time.
We hear the charge of anti-Semitism thrown around a lot, what gets a lot less attention is Jewish bigotry towards gentiles such as what you describe - Levin is probably one of the worst of the lot. It's the conservative equivalent of how leftists are willfully blind towards anti-white bigotry among blacks and various other third world peoples.
Both Islam and Judaism have a two-pronged problem when it comes to world relations: Both commingle religious identity and political identity freely (for better or for worse) and neither has a commonly acknowledged religious spokesperson to express an official stance on issues. Many nations are heavily Christian but when that nation’s governments screw up, it rarely blows back on Christianity because the lines between religion and politics are clear.
Ever since the veil was torn, Jerusalem is anywhere the body of Christ resides. Heaven is His throne and the Earth, His footstool.
God also refers to the physical descendants of Abraham. Those who think that modern Christians have “replaced” Jews as God’s chosen people have no Biblical backing.
I’m not surprised by the responses here.
Many from people who couldn’t possibly have watched.
Oh Well.
The John Birch Society condemned racism and anti-Semitism, and had black and Jewish members.
Still does
And how does God determine Abraham's "physical descendants."? Humans have greatly comingled over the centuries.
I've read that 40-45% of all Spaniards have traces of Sephardic DNA.
Ashkenazi have 50-95% gentile DNA, depending on which DNA tests you prefer to believe.
The most pure-blood Jews, according to one YouTube source, are the Yemeni Jews, who are allegedly 80% Israelite. So are they the most favored by God?
Most modern Jewish Israelis have some gentile DNA, and doubtless many Palestinians, including Hamas fighters, have some Jewish DNA.
So, how does God do his DNA analysis when deciding who to bless? What percentage of Isralite DNA makes one a descendant of Abraham?
Amen!
Good post.
We see that a lot here when conservative Jewish folks disavow actions taken by leftist Jews.
Then they accuse some conservatives of being anti-Semites when those conservatives attack actions taken by leftist Jews.
It is a classic case of trying to have your cake and eat it too.
He outsources it to 23andMe, just like everyone else!
