FATHER GOD,
You are the GOD of yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Time means nothing to you, and the prayers of believers who have gone before us are still as active as when they were first uttered through the power of HOLY SPIRIT.
It was no accident that I was led to the document by Radio Host Marlin Maddox this morning as I organized USB sticks.
May we join our prayers with Christian forefathers for the Biblical restoration of the United States of America and take our stand for righteousness and freedom!
In JESUS’ Name we pray. AMEN.

Radio Talk Show with Marlin Maddoux
(Excerpt from a March 17, 2003 solicitation letter.)
I keep an object under a glass covering on a table near the door in my office. The object is broken, ragged, and ugly. Yet, in my mind, it’s a symbol of freedom.
It’s one of the bricks from the infamous Berlin wall. In fact, I often glance at it on my way out of the door to walk down the hallway to Studio C where Point of View radio broadcast originates.
A gift from a friend whom I’ve never met, it arrived in a package in the mail shortly after the Berlin wall came down. Deeply moved by its symbolism, I keep it as a reminder of the cost of human slavery by oppressive governments across the world, and of the price of freedom.
I well remember my elation as I watched the television screen as the bricks and concrete slabs from the Berlin wall into the streets at the feet of the cheering mobs. We instinctively knew it was the beginning of the end of the Evil Empire, just as Ronald Reagan had predicted.
Once again, America is facing enemies that are bent on destroying us. Forces both inside and outside our borders are dedicated to bringing this nation down. But, we have seen trying times before, and God has always brought us through.
I believe that God ordained the founding of this nation to serve His purpose in the earth. And in spite of the naysayers, I believe that America still has a mission to fulfill.
You see, God is not through with America! And that fact raises the challenge to all of us to continue to fight to preserve our godly heritage.
From its beginning, America has been a nation of vision and destiny. We were created with a mission that was grounded in an explicit covenant between God and the people. Even our Declaration of Independence declares that ‘all men are created equal,” showing that our freedoms do not come from a king, or a government, but from God.
The only thing that has kept America free for more than 200 years has been our belief in and our reliance on God. So, this is not a time to be fearful, or discouraged. Rather, it is a time for intense prayer, repentance, and a return to the original purpose of America—One Nation under God.
When this nation was first formed and it’s future lay in doubt, our leaders trusted and relied upon God. For example, George Washington was a man who spent hours in prayer. Revealing his deep dedication to God, he wrote in his private prayer book:
“Direct my thoughts, words, and work. Wash away my sins in the immaculate Blood of the Lamb, and purge my heart by Thy Holy Spirit… Daily frame me more and more into the likeness of Thy Son Jesus Christ.”
Although not a perfect nation, God has singled out America and has blessed us materially, spiritually, and politically like no other nation before it.
I was heartened by the words of Dr. Bill Bright, who wrote:
“Readily admit that America has never been perfect, nor will it every be—only God is completely holy and righteous. But as our nation has turned to God in the past in the midst of deep crisis, He has given us amazing success. We can do that again. God wants to help us, and He is more powerful and creative than any enemies we will ever face. He can provide victory through the power of His Holy Spirit and the wisdom of His Word.”
I wish I could tell you what the future holds. But only God knows. But I can tell you this: As America turns to God, and with His help, we will prevail against those forces of darkness that have been unleashed against us.
Let me challenge you with the fact that each one of us can be instruments in God’s hands to lead this nation back to its Biblical foundations. With our nation gripped in fear and uncertainty, people are seeking answers. And we have those answers.
Now is the time for heroes. Now is the time for each one of us to rise in faith and lead our country through these perilous times. If we accept the challenge, this time of uncertainty can be a turning point in the direction America has been going. As we humble ourselves before God, this can be a time of the most genuine and life-changing spiritual renewal America has ever seen!

(As a pagan, he had the name Magundates and served in the armies of the Persian emperor Chozroes II, who in 614 ravaged the city of Jerusalem and carried away the Life-Creating Cross of the Lord to Persia. His desire to learn more about the Cross led to his conversion.)
Dear Lord, we thank you for the witness of Iranian Christian saints, both in the 600s AD and in our own day. Bring freedom to the Iranian people, and bring many conversions to Christ in Iran and in America. Amen!
Oh Jesus, Great Alpha and Ωmega, Author and Finisher of our {my} faith - thank you for your intervening Hand this week and always in our desperate times of need! 🙏🛐✔

May the Lord command His angel armies to protect the Iranian underground churches and all who smuggle the Good News into the country.

Amen - Thank you for posting this prayer. I used to listen to Marlin Maddox every single day in the 80’s Loved his show. He had a level of explaining the word that not many have.
