🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem 🇮🇱(1/19/26)[Prayer]

A New Study For A New Year: Personalities
Genesis 13
13 And Abram went up out of Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the south. 2 And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.
3 And he went on his journeys from the south even to Bethel, unto the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Hai;
4 Unto the place of the altar, which he had make there at the first: and there Abram called on the name of the Lord.
5 And Lot also, which went with Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents.
6 And the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together.
7 And there was a strife between the herdmen of Abram's cattle and the herdmen of Lot's cattle: and the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelled then in the land.
8 And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren.
9 Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left.
10 And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.
11 Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other.
12 Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom.
13 But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly.
14 And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:
15 For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.
16 And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered.
17 Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.
18 Then Abram removed his tent, and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar unto the Lord.

Ancient Of Days,
Rock of Ages,
King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
You Alone Are worthy of Worship,
For You Alone Are The One True God!
Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

Yesterday was "Sushi Sunday" at a favorite Japanese restaurant in our area. Premium Rolls that are normally $17.00 are half price, and my Sister and I will often enjoy our favorite meal at a greatly reduced price. It's also a fun time to sample some of the more exotic rolls without breaking the bank. It's a bit of a drive on the Highway, but WORTH IT.
While we were eating, the big TV over the bar was showing the New England Patriots Game in Foxboro, about 30 miles west of us. The High-Def Wide-Screen TV showed SNOW swirling around the Players. Their breath was caught on camera, and the weather looked miserable. After 16 years in Florida, I STILL haven't gotten used to driving in the snow, and I was beginning to get anxious.
Don't worry, ML, my Sister said. "Foxboro is way inland. We're near the ocean. We'll probably just get rain."
When we left the restaurant, it was raining...big, white, sloppy raindrops. It wasn't quite snow, but it was close. I had to make a decision: Do I take the Interstate and get home faster, even though it might be really treacherous, or do I take the long, slow way, through four little towns to get us home. It would be much slower, but more safe.
I took the Highway. The rain turned into snow and showed up in my headlights like a white hurricane. Other drivers were ignoring the weather conditions and zipping past me at 70 mph. I poked along at 55-60, and was gripping the wheel for dear life. When I finally turned off at my Exit, I saw that the "slow route" had very few cars on it. Most of the townspeople had decided to stay in, I guess.
I probably had made the wrong choice taking the Interstate, but I've always liked "Life in the fast Lane". Now I have to go out and shovel. UGH.
As we look at Abraham's life and the decisions he made, we see a lot of Personality Traits from his behavior.
1. Faith: For Abram to pull up all his roots in the city and go to "who-knows-where" took profound Faith. This Faith in God produced Obedience, and the Faith was credited to him as "Righteousness". He didn't have faith because he was righteous. Righteousness was imputed to him because of his faith.
2. He had moments of Anxiety: His behavior in Egypt was indicative of a momentary faltering of his Faith. God would have taken care of matters with Sarai, but, for a moment, Abram lost his grip on Trusting in God. (Like when I saw it snowing in Foxboro).
3. He was a Peacemaker: Abram and his nephew Lot had become so wealthy in Livestock that the land couldn't support them all. The hired hands started quarreling, and Abram had to put a stop to it. He came up with a solution to their fighting even though it meant separating the family.
4. His Generosity of Spirit: Abram had every right to take the best choice of the Land. He was the Elder, and the Head of the family. However, he gives the younger nephew the First Choice.
Lot chose the city, that was built on a beautiful, watered plain, leaving his generous uncle the desert.
Little did he realize what a Rough Ride was ahead.
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
”Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.” (Hosea 6:3 NIV)

Amen to your prayer and story. May the road rise up to meet you, not sure what that means but it sounds good. May our decisions be wise and not necessarily on convenience. May God bless President Trump and Bibi.

My Irish Grandmother used to follow that blessing with her own:
“May you be in heaven an hour before the devil realizes you’re dead.”
Really!☘️

Amen!!! <>< (NOTE:We must pray this daily from here on out. Getting obvious now!)
Psalm 91
1 You who live in the shelter of the Most High,
who abide in the shadow of the Almighty,*
2 will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.’
3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
and from the deadly pestilence;
4 he will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
5 You will not fear the terror of the night,
or the arrow that flies by day,
6 or the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
or the destruction that wastes at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only look with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the Lord your refuge,*
the Most High your dwelling-place,
10 no evil shall befall you,
no scourge come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.
12 On their hands they will bear you up,
so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the adder,
the young lion and the serpent you will trample under foot.
14 Those who love me, I will deliver;
I will protect those who know my name.
15 When they call to me, I will answer them;
I will be with them in trouble,
I will rescue them and honour them.
