Heavenly Father,

 My Redeemer,

When Things look the darkest,

Help Me To trust in Your Promise

And not the seemingly insurmountable troubles that beset me.

There's so much about Adam's Personality in these few Verses.

1. His Need For a Companion: Although our pets are sometimes called "Companion Animals", it wasn't enough for Adam. He had a whole garden full of "pets", some of them quite exotic, and he had named all of them. And yet, Adam was still lonely. Since God already knew this, He had a Perfect Plan for Adam, a Woman named Eve (whose Personality was quite different from her husband's!)

2. His Capacity for Creative Thought: Upon being presented with Eve, Adam didn't just grunt like a Cave Man and carry her off. Instead, he waxed poetic and burst forth into a rapturous Wedding Song. When we went through a months-long study of "Music in the Bible", we discovered that Adam's Wedding Song is the first actual Song in the Bible. Now, it can be argued that Birds, Wolves, and Whales have melodies to call for a mate, warn of danger, and call others of their species. However, these melodies are pre-programmed , not composed by the creature, as far as we know. Adam's Personality was such that he composed a Song on the spot. His lyrics are echoed in Wedding Songs to this day.

3. His Innocence: In my Morning Search for Illustrations for Today's Verses, I encountered a strange thing. All the pictures of Adam and Eve (before the Fall), had them clothed in various anachronistic outfits (that's AI for you!). Flowing Grecian Dresses, fluttering, diaphanous robes, and silky garments clothe the First Couple who were supposedly "naked and not ashamed". Even in Classical Art, the trees and foliage tend to curl around Adam and Eve in a strategic manner. Adam and Eve were not ashamed, but my computer seems to be. That's because, once Adam and Eve sinned, they also fell from Innocence. Evidently, AI and my Search Engine don't want to get me in Trouble! I'm not "innocent" either. I would hesitate to post a perfectly accurate (and innocent) picture of Adam and Eve.

Tomorrow, we will be introduced to two more Personalities, but we're not done with Adam yet.

I thought this from "GotQuestions.org" was interesting. The fact that God pulled a rib out of Adam and not some other piece of his body shows God’s wisdom, planning, and foresight. Ribs regrow. All bones in the human body are able to mend themselves, but rib bone is unique in that it can regenerate. When a surgeon performs a costectomy (the removal of part or all of a rib), he or she will be careful to leave the perichondrium (the membrane surrounding the rib). The rib taken can be used for bone grafts elsewhere in the body, and in the spot of the missing rib will grow a new rib—usually within one or two months. (See Moore, K., Dalley, A., and Agur, M., Clinically Oriented Anatomy, 7th ed., Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, 2013, p. 83).

Well, I would interpret that as having come from The Holy Spirit, as the song would be recorded in Genesis and quoted for thousands of years by people who DID have a mother and father. 😁
