What You Speak Matters

Do you know the value and importance of speaking God's word out of a believing heart. The scriptures tells us about what God's word spoken out of us does for us and we need to know so we can speak it and get the benefits of it. In Hebrews 3:1 it reads, Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus. That word profession is the same word confession which mean to say the same thing. So, Jesus has a ministry in heaven right now ministering for us based on our own words in line with God's word. Notice, he's not high priest of all our words, no, only our words in line with God's word. He presents our words to God the father that are in line with his words and in return you get the benefit of what was presented, those words carried out. In Hebrews 8:3 it reads, Every high priest is appointed to offer gifts and sacrifices. So itโ€™s necessary for this high priest also to have something to offer. And Hebrews 13:15 reads, By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. The fruit of your lips are your words, in the old covenant it was the blood of animals, but in the knew covenant it's our words. That's why Hebrews 4:14 says, Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession(same word confession). And since we are talking about the importance of speaking God's word out a believing heart we can't leave out Hebrews 10:23 that reads, Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;).

In Titus 1:3 it reads, But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, don't be fooled by the word preaching, it simply means to proclaim or speak out. God works with and through his spoken word. In Mark 16:20 it read, And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. It's important that the word be proclaimed so when God confirms it people will put more trust in what you speak. And God loves for his word to go out so that He can back it. Isaiah 44:26 says, That confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof. God confirms and performs his proclaimed word, in other words, what you say people will see the evidence of it. If you receive the word in you then you will get the manifestation of it. That's what Jesus taught in the entire chapter of Mark 4 when he taught that the word of God is seed and the heart of man is ground. So, if you keep receiving the word in your heart, the word you receive in your heart the manifestation will come out. Mark 4:22 For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested (Read Acts 14:7-10). Paul said in 1 Corinthians 3:6,7 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. God never meant for you to hear the word just to be hearing it, no, He's trying to get something to you. You plant a seed to receive something, you don't put a seed in the ground without expecting to get something in the future. In fact, if you don't get something you know that's not suppose to happen. Understand, the word is to increase in you until what's on the inside increases until what's inside is seen outside. That's what Jesus meant when he said, For there is nothing hid which shall not be manifested.

When you put a seed in the ground and it comes up, can you dig up the ground and find the seed, no, because you are looking at it. That thing that comes up is the seed in increased form. And that's what the word can do and Jesus is an example of that for he was the word made flesh. And as we just saw in 1 Corinthians 3:6,7 hearing is both planting and watering, so you speaking the word is planting and watering. The first time you hear is planting and each time after that is watering. Every seed only needs increase and God put increase in you. In Genesis 1:28 you see that God blessed man saying, "Be fruitful" which is translated as bring forth. The same thing God spoke to the earth to put increase in it He spoke to man putting increase in man. That's why Jesus said, A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh (Luke 6:45). You see that, the man brings forth, it comes out of you by your words. So, you keep speaking it until you see it and God will get the glory. For then you will be a true witness when others see what you said in manifestation, they will take notice. So, Jesus said, Take heed what you hear, because what you hear is going into your heart. And Matthew 12:34 says, Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks and you will be bringing forth things God didn't intend for you to.

It's very interesting that the scriptures says that your words are medicine to your flesh. Proverbs 16:24 says, Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. Proverbs 12:18 says, There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health. Those things are in connection with God's word for Proverbs 4:20-23 says, My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. 23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. That word health is translated medicine, remedy, healing, cure. Notice, it says to keep the word in your heart, why do you think it says that. And how do you keep it in your heart, by continuing to hear it and look at it because that's what is going into your heart. And the word needs to go in your heart to get the manifestation of it. Take Abraham God promised him that he and his wife would have a son and through him Abraham's descendants would be a numerous as the stars. But, there were some problems his body was dead and his wife's womb was dead so God changed their names from Abram-high father to Abraham-father of a multitude and from Saria-my princess to Sarah-princess of nations. Notice, God had to get that word in them to get the manifestation out of it and they did have a son and through him came the 12 tribes of Israel. They got the manifestation out of the word that they put in their hearts. Notice, they had to speak in line with the promise of God to get the manifestation of it. It was God in Isaiah 5510,11 that says, For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void(without fruit), but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

It is not God's will that any should perish. And I wouldn't want to end this article without giving someone the opportunity to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It's very easy just pray: Dear God- I know I have sinned and I now turn from them and I invite Jesus to come into my heart (Revelation 3:20). He died for my sins and you have raised him from the dead and I now confess Jesus is my Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9,10). I thank you for saving me, Amen

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name (John 1:12). 1 Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. Romans 5:8-10 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. [9] Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. [10] For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 2 Peter 3:9 King James Version 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

As a gardener, this resonates with me!

Thanks for the reminder that what we take in repeatedly matters, and what we say matters. Also big kudos for the teaching that the word processing is the same as speaking it. I didnโ€™t know that!

G_ds word springs from devotion , not from what others have written in scripture. The scripture at best is a very rough guide to working with the phenomenal world of G_d’s creation here on earth.

Word without action is an existential tautology. That’s why the radical Muslim extremists are successful in subjugating Christians, who for the most part are all talk with no action. We can’t even elect the right people to office for the most part, although we are doing much better, it remains to be seen about the mid terms.G_d’s word needs to become G_d’s action.
