My topic this year is “anti-Christendom.” But what does that even mean?
Christendom as a concept is considered by many to be something of the past…Ever since the time of the Reformation and the shattering of the beautiful Catholic unity that had pre-existed, with an objective moral standard that was shared by all of Europe, the concept of Christendom has been in retreat…
In these three examples alone, we see the philosophical (postmodernism), the intellectual (the sexual revolution) and the practical (libertarian capitalism) assault themselves on the historic territory of Christendom. The forces of anti-Christendom are therefore aping the historic trajectory of Christendom: they emerge, engage in a battle for the mind, soul and body, and then establish dominance….
In light of this, I would say that my message today is cautious hope, because the thing that is reviving the Church is not a new pope, or an old pope; it’s not any one of the weak bishops’ conferences; it’s not a coalition of priests, no matter how holy they are, nor is it the emergence of a new religious order.
It’s the Holy Spirit moving through the laity…
The revival we are witnessing in the traditional Church is tens of thousands of mainly young people being immersed in the faith of our grandfathers. This movement is so powerful that the enemy is now hellbent on stopping it, even attempting to weaponize the US federal government to crack down on it during the last administration…
So this religion of the Antichrist—what are we looking at and how is it manifesting itself? There is really one answer to this that I want to focus on today….
The antichrist has brought one huge weapon into the 21st century…
That weapon is technology...

So they’re BOTH Nuts!
Just great.
If I recall, many of the founding radicals of groups such as Occupy, BLM and later Antifa came from very wealthy families. By the time wealth has reached the 3rd generation, you’re going to find a few insecure rebels who wish to pretend they don’t need or want this life of comfort and ease, preferring to support groups on the economic and social bottom of the totem pole.
Maybe that’s part of what George Farmer thinks he’s doing here, pushing back on all the systems and social structures that helped his father make all his riches.
Thanks for posting this.
I have scanned it ... I will read it in detail later.
My first impression is highly favorable. Part of it tracks with something I have long observed: “social” media is inherently anti-social. It dehumanizes what should be human interaction. People behave in ways on-line that they would not behave in the real world, usually for the worse. Also, the entities we interact with might not even be human.
“On the internet, nobody knows you’re a dog.”
Is that screen-name with which one is conversing a human? A robot? An angel? A demon?
It’s increasingly hard to tell

Technology, IT, AI is a tool, just as a gun, a knife, a rock are tools that can be used for good or evil.
Currently some worship AI as if it were a powerful god who would solve the problems of mankind. Just as money, guns, swords, magic have been misused so AI is the new kid on the block...but we still have that sinful nature.
Anti-Christ can be translated “In place of Christ”. The spirit of anti-Christ can be manifest in different ways. All individuals and religions who reject Christ, have an anti-Christ world view, mind and spirit, i.e., their God is not Christ.
I found the article to be temperate and well reasoned. I do see and irony that Mr. Farmer is described as a co-founder of the social media site Parler, and that his wife has a very popular podcast.
