Dear Father In Heaven,

Right now, I'm posting from The King James Version of the Bible. My personal readings this morning were in the NIV. I got it at a Yard Sale in Hull, MA for $8.00.

A Biker gave me a beautiful Bible in the Parking Lot of an Antique Mall in Middleboro, MA. It's a translation I had never heard of before called "God's Word". It's pretty good!

The very first Bible I ever owned was a gift from my friend Skip and it was the New American Standard Version. To this day, it's my favorite.

On the bookshelf behind me is a KJV, an RSV, an NIV, God's Word, The New Living Translation, and the Douey-Rheims. I like them all, but the RSV seems a little "stilted", and "God's Word" is a bit too "modern" for my taste. Anything I don't have on the shelf I can access online. When it comes to Bible Translations, I'm very wealthy!

Handel's Messiah doesn't mention Pentecost, but does touch on the formation of the Early Church and the Apostles spreading the Gospel.

This short CHORUS is Based on a little line of Scripture in Psalms. It is short, but Full of Meaning. The Lord has Given us His Word, in the Form of His Law, His Precepts, His Inspired Scriptures, and His Promises. He Tells us He Values His Word even over HIS OWN NAME. He Created the Universe with His Word.

The Gospel of John, written in Greek, gives us Another Meaning for "The Word". The Word John uses is Logos", from which we derive the word "Logo". A company's Logo is VERY important to them! It is their identity, their brand, and their symbol, and they paid a lot of money to have it designed. Businesses sue for misuse of their logo, and win big because of copyright infringement.

In The First Chapter of John, "In the Beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with God, and the WORD Was God", The Scriptures tell us of the Everlasting Nature of His Word, and also of His Identity.

Amen to your prayer for Israel. The bible version is good if it helps us understand what the Lord is saying. Not many today are familiar with old English or understand what many words mean. God has kept his word alive in spite of all the efforts to derail it. Thank you Jesus!
