Chinese Communist Party Launches Persecution of Christians Unseen Since Mao

As the West is finally waking up to the genocide of Christians in Nigeria, Christians are also facing brutal oppression in Communist China. Recently, the persecution has escalated to levels not seen since Mao Zedong ruled the country.

Last month, Chinese President Xi Jinping launched the largest crackdown on Chinese Christians in years. More than 20 clergy and parishioners were arrested, along with a prominent underground church pastor. Christian leaders have reported that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has demolished thousands of unsanctioned churches.

In September, mirroring the hardline tactics of the Soviet Politburo, Xi Jinping decreed that all faiths must “promote the Sinicization of religion and guide doctrines and rituals to reflect Chinese characteristics.” All religions must remake themselves to “adapt to the socialist society,” he said. Under Chinese law, all churches must be approved by the CCP and display government-approved propaganda. It is also illegal in China to attempt to bring anyone under the age of 18 into the faith.

Chinese dissidents I spoke to for this interview described the current situation for Christians as the worst in decades. “These may be the darkest times for our brothers and sisters,” said one former high-ranking CCP official who worked in the Ministry of State Security. He now lives in Germany and is a Christian.

Xi’s crackdown is not a novel approach. In fact, it bears striking similarity to the playbook that the Soviet Union used in its failed attempt to secularize Eastern and Central Europe during the Cold War. Like the CCP today, the Soviet Union adhered to the tenets of Marxism-Leninism, which aimed to erase religion entirely from society. Christians, especially, were portrayed as obstacles to the Party’s vision of a flawless, classless society. From the very beginning, Marxists have treated faith as an adversary to absolute power.

Trump should do something about this if he can. When Bush 43 was in China, his advisors and hosts didn’t want him to visit a house church so he went out of his way to visit the house church.

Not to this extent but even in very Christianized South Korea, the new CCP friendly government has been amping up their stifling of free speech and evangelism. Charlie Kirk spent his last weekend alive in Korea and Japan. And he noted this.

We should all be praying daily for Christians in harms way around the world, including in the UK where this same anti-Christ spirit is ramping up.

Xi began rewriting the Holy Bible in 2019 to make it CCP friendly, I first heard about it in December that year and wondered what kind of plague could come from his wicked activity. The world didn’t have to wait long to see it manifest.

In China, the hierarchy of deities is:

Saints
Mary & Joseph
Holy Spirit
Jesus
God
The CCP

Mohamed is not listed, since Islam does not exist in China.

Despite the crack down, China is on course to eventually become the largest Christian nation on Earth.

I believe they already are. The persecuted Church has always grown.

Its not religion they need, it is to worship God in Spirit and in Truth. Something Xi cannot perceive or understand, his spies cannot report on it.

That anti-Christ spirit we see rising up everywhere in the West is looking at the CCP for its technological control model. And when it finally does get its authority to act globally, this evil will be shutdown forever by the return of Jesus only three and one half years later. They think this is their ‘new beginning’ but its really their end they’re working overtime to achieve.

The USA, UK, AU, NZ and CA etc., are all coasting on the fumes of the Spirit of Jesus that is liberty.

Too many of us have forgotten where our freedoms came from. Too many spend endless hours every day looking at the images that move and speak and appear to have life and gives power to that Beast to rise up (MSM/X/Youtube/Tiktok/Facebook/TV/Movies etc.,) Now they even willingly mark up their bodies with evil symbols, use clown colors on their hair and can’t decide in their gender confusion which bathroom to use. It is all being done intentionally by an evil spirit attending to it.

Pray daily to rebuke it. Prayer is the most powerful tool Bible believing Christians have in their arsenal. Matthew Chapter 18 gives us the authority to bind it on the Earth.

“Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” - 2 Corinthians 3:17
