The late Charlie Kirk's wife, Erika, revealed in an interview with Fox News' Jesse Watters that her husband "loved Saint Michael."
The exclusive interview premiered on November 5. It was Erika's first sit-down discussion since Charlie was killed on Sept. 10, 2025.
"When we first started dating," Erika begins, "I asked him, 'Why don't you wear a cross? You say you're a Christian, but you don't wear a cross.'
"He said, 'I don't know. I'm not a jewelry guy.'
"So for his first birthday present, I got him this cross. Throughout time, I would always add different medals to it. He loved Saint Michael. So every time he put this on, he felt like it was his armor."
Although not Catholic, reports surfaced that Charlie died wearing the Saint Michael medal. Erika continues to wear Charlie's medal.

Eternal Rest, grant unto Charlie Kirk, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul rest in peace. Amen.

I think St. Michael is very powerful too. In fact, we got married on his feast day, September 29th, in the hopes he would protect our union. It worked because we recently celebrated our 46th anniversary. I don’t wear a cross either and instead wear a Miraculous Medal which I never take off, unless I’m getting an MRI or CT scan, lol.
This guy makes an interesting case for what he believes is going on. His analogy leading up to presenting his case is a bit humorous:

This fits the Biblical end time image of Michael and his angels fighting Satan and his demons. That battle was said to come down from heaven to earth in the last days.
I checked and “Saint Michael” is in fact the archangel Michael, not a different entity. At least references to Saint Michael are explicitly references to the Archangel Michael, not some departed human saint.
I just learned that some consider Michael to be Jesus, and in fact that all the named archangels are forms of Jesus. If not then they are regarded as particularly powerful angels with access to the throne of God in heaven.
I love your story.
I don’t wear a cross/crucifix either. I have a Scapular medal around my neck. If you’re not familiar, it has the Sacred Heart of Jesus on the front, and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel on the back. My Grandma gave me an identical child-sized version of this for my First Holy Communion, and almost exactly one year later, she passed away. I was never the same.
I misplaced the original, but as an adult, I spent several hours with two nuns who brought out catalogue after catalogue to help me find the one I had lost. Eventually, I found it! My replacement medal never leaves my neck, though if I ever need an MRI or CT, I’m sure that will change things.
Needless to say, St. Michael is a favorite saint, for me, my husband, my siblings, and my children. I say his prayer at least once daily. I feel so protected by him.
Interesting, because Michael is the Angel that fights for Israel.
I didn’t recall any Angel being called a saint in the Bible.
“And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.” - Galatians 3:29
“What’s more, I am changing your name. It will no longer be Abram. Instead, you will be called Abraham, for you will be the father of *many* nations.” - Genesis 17:5
I never heard that but will google it.Thank you.
I grew up in a St. Michael's parish. They had a statue of Michael with his foot crushing a snake. Very powerful image.
Noo, Israel still has National promises.
true that. you know your Scripture and so did Charlie.
It’s not mutually exclusive to hold space for ‘nation’ and the sanctity of the Holy Land, while also acknowledging the promises and blessings inherited by faith - including the guardianship of Archangel Michael.
The obsessive, idolatrous dissection and fragmentation of the Scripture on your part diminishes the *uniting* anchor that is Jesus Christ who was in the beginning, from the beginning, with the beginning, IS the beginning. (John 1:1) and the END. Alpha. Omega. First and Last. (Revelation 22:13)
Nop You are spiritualizing Israel’svpronises to the church. There is a Natural Istael and also the Israel of GOD. The TRUECpromise of Salvation only comes to Jews in the second group. He is a true Jews is one inwardly
No you are making an idol of something physical because faith is too spiritual to be “enough” for you until Jesus comes back. And there’s nothing loving in your perspective whether towards Jew or Gentile. It’s a system that gives you license to cater to the flesh, and thirst for war and rivalry...It’s no different from the crowds who rejected Jesus because they wanted so badly for him to be a warrior in the physical sense. And to be a sort of “tribal” leader — what he came for all? Good Samaritan? what?
We were wed on Michaelmas as well. Worked for us too, married for decades, :)
Lol, the Bible itself says that the LORD will bring Israel back into it’s own land.
But what does that have to do with St Michael also being a guardian for Charlie?! Do the 10 Commandments not apply to you because they were inscribed in Hebrew?
🙄
yes. i agree Condoleezza. i kinda of take back my compliment to cowboy.
if you read Scripture carefully (Genesis), Abraham was a gentile, not a Jew to begin with. he was given the covenant of circumcision separately from gentiles for Issac and the Jewish People:
Acts 7:8 And he gave him the covenant of circumcision: and so Abraham begat Isaac, and circumcised him the eighth day; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat the twelve patriarchs.
so imho, he stands as spiritual (through faith in His God) and genetic ancestor or (father) of ‘many nations’ and they include the jewish nation passed on through his son Issac, who inherits the specific promises made to Abraham for the Jews to pass on to the Jacob and the Jewish patriarchs.
that is the correct, i believe reading of Abraham as father of both believing (faithful) Gentiles and Jews.
He also passes the promise of Jesus Christ to both gentiles and Jews through his faith in God, which we Gentiles inherit from him, Abraham.
thus he is the genetic Ancestor of Jesus through the Jews and Israel, but we gentiles also receive the spiritual inheritance of faith in, by and though Jesus Christ.
