Water, Rivers, and Streams in the Bible
Job 41:1-11

1  [a]“Can you pull in Leviathan with a fishhook
    or tie down its tongue with a rope?

2  Can you put a cord through its nose
    or pierce its jaw with a hook?

3  Will it keep begging you for mercy?
    Will it speak to you with gentle words?

4  Will it make an agreement with you
    for you to take it as your slave for life?

5  Can you make a pet of it like a bird
    or put it on a leash for the young women in your house?

6  Will traders barter for it?
    Will they divide it up among the merchants?

7  Can you fill its hide with harpoons
    or its head with fishing spears?

8  If you lay a hand on it,
    you will remember the struggle and never do it again!

9  Any hope of subduing it is false;
    the mere sight of it is overpowering.

10  No one is fierce enough to rouse it.
    Who then is able to stand against me?

11  Who has a claim against me that I must pay?
    Everything under heaven belongs to me.

When I lived in Florida, one of my favorite Motorcycle Rides was to the Florida Keys. It was 110 Miles to Key Largo (a nice little ride) and then over 100 more to Key West. I preferred the middle islands, as they were less commercial, but the ride was the destination in and of itself. There were a few Challenges. The Ten-Mile Bridge is spectacular, but it's TEN MILES over open ocean. Gorgeous, but a little intimidating. However, the Twenty Miles from Florida City to Key Largo probably has that beat. Along the flat causeway stretching across the Mangrove Swamps, are periodic signs cautioning motorists:

ATTENTION! WATCH OUT FOR CROCODILES IN ROAD.

I was used to Alligators, but CROCODILES??? Weren't they supposed to stay in Africa? (You know the old saying: "Alligators in America, Crocodiles in the Congo") Alligators supposedly would leave you alone if you don't bother them, but Crocodiles will kill you just for spite...or so I thought. I'm happy to say that in all my years in Florida, I never met a Crocodile, and that's fine with me.

Some Scholars think that Leviathan is a Crocodile. They cite the Scales on his back as the clue. Others, including Herman Melville, insist that Leviathan is the Great Sperm Whale, and, indeed, ancient pictures of whales show them (incorrectly) having scales. Then there are those who theorize that God was talking about Dinosaurs, which He created long before Job walked the Earth. None of these animals breathe FIRE, so that gives us another possibility. Was Leviathan a Dragon?

Every Culture on Earth has a Legend that includes dragons. In the East, he is a symbol of Good Luck, and in the West, he's a Medieval Monster that puts Damsels in Distress. In Modern Times, he becomes Godzilla, breathing fire, created by Nuclear Testing...a Cautionary Tale about humans messing with the very elements of Creation.

During the Renaissance, he was a Sea Serpent who imperiled sailors and explorers.

In the Book of Revelation, the Dragon is identified as Satan, who, actually, is also a created being. he may also be the "serpent" in the garden of Eden

Whoever or Whatever "Leviathan" is, you probably don't want to mess with him.

Reflections on Nov 4th: During my prayer time on Monday 11/3 I asked God what was coming on our country and I had a very strange dream like none I’ve had before and it now makes sense to me. He has been doing things like this for the last several years and it amazes me to no end. As I share what I see coming from this dream I got the Scriptures from Proverbs 10 24&25 which confirms the dream I had and how it relates to a prophetic word I got in 2019. The word I got in 2019 has been powerfully confirmed to the last detail by Julie Green on Oct 8th 2025. I contacted her ministry and they were astonished by what I shared with them. What is coming on this nation is some very trying times. The results of this election are giving God the justification He needs to bring these prophetic words and judgements to pass to the detail and they will. To those who are rejoicing over these results I hate to spoil it for you but you will see no gain or anything that will give you hope. There will be no change or stopping what is going on and you will not see the 2026 midterms. All that you voted for and your entire movement is going to be utterly destroyed in front of your eyes very quickly by His strong right hand and will lead to what God wills being done, not yours. In fact the level of destruction and the speed which it will occur will cause many to fear God as it will be unnatural and one sided! You fired your shot and now it’s His turn to shoot back! He does things as they are written in His words and by His standard of truth and justice, not man’s. To those who are upset by these results do not be discouraged but be encouraged. God’s bringing His justice on what is wrong and it’s going to be very tough and will seriously test us. It is hard to see how mankind has become depraved as it has but we see it for what it is. I say that you prepare yourselves both spiritually and physically for what lies ahead. Start praying Psalm 91 daily as it will provide the divine protection we will need in the days ahead. ✝🙏🦅💖
