🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem 🇮🇱(10/19/25)[Prayer]

Water, Rivers, and Streams in the Bible
John 5:1-16

The Healing at the Pool

5 Some time later, Jesus went up to Jerusalem for one of the Jewish festivals. 2 Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda[a] and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades. 3 Here a great number of disabled people used to lie—the blind, the lame, the paralyzed. [4] [b] 5 One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?”

7 “Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.”

8 Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.” 9 At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked.

The day on which this took place was a Sabbath, 10 and so the Jewish leaders said to the man who had been healed, “It is the Sabbath; the law forbids you to carry your mat.”

11 But he replied, “The man who made me well said to me, ‘Pick up your mat and walk.’ ”

12 So they asked him, “Who is this fellow who told you to pick it up and walk?”

13 The man who was healed had no idea who it was, for Jesus had slipped away into the crowd that was there.

14 Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, “See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.” 15 The man went away and told the Jewish leaders that it was Jesus who had made him well.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father,
We Stand in Awe of Your Majesty.
You Alone Are Worthy of Worship,
For You Alone Are The One True God,
We Look To You For Deliverance,

With Everything We Need to sustain us.
We abide in the Shelter of Your Wings!

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.

One of my Birthday Gifts, from two of my sisters, is a gift card for a very nice spa. Since I'm on my feet a lot, this is a particularly lovely gift! My favorite part of a pedicure is the soak in the hot, swirling, bubbly water. I could just do that part of it forever! Ahhhhhhh....

The healing properties of hot, swirling water have been well-known through the ages. Ancient Roman Baths had separate pools for hot and cold water, and, even on Herod's Mountain Fortress of Masada, there was a fully functional spa with hot and cold pools. A series of heating ducts under the "Hot" pool kept it at the perfect temperature.

Near the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, Archaeologists have unearthed a large swimming-pool-like structure, complete with stone steps leading down into it, and the ruins of columns all around it. Could this be the "Healing Pool" spoken of in John 5?

The name of the pool was Bethesda, and we still use that name for places people go to to get well.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

”Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.” (Hosea 6:3 NIV)

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Noted that the Living Water of Jesus Christ heals us. He also tells us to turn from sin in many occasions in His Word. The opposite of the world who tells us to embrace our sin with pride.

Indeed.

What kind of sins would a paralyzed man be capable of?

Jesus shows us that sins can be hidden, in the mind and in the heart.

You don’t have to go out and rob or kill someone to be a sinner.

Ooops!

I just noticed in Comment #2, the image contains a Twentieth Century WHEELCHAIR!

That’s GOT to be AI, as I can’t imagine REAL “Intelligence” placing it in the picture.

Ha Ha Ha.

Oh yes. Our flesh itself puts us in the sinner category. The important distinction is if our sin forgiven by Christ or not.

Amen !!! <>< (NOTE:We must pray this daily from here on out)

Psalm 91

1 You who live in the shelter of the Most High,
who abide in the shadow of the Almighty,*
2 will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.’
3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
and from the deadly pestilence;
4 he will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
5 You will not fear the terror of the night,
or the arrow that flies by day,
6 or the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
or the destruction that wastes at noonday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only look with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 Because you have made the Lord your refuge,*
the Most High your dwelling-place,
10 no evil shall befall you,
no scourge come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.
12 On their hands they will bear you up,
so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the adder,
the young lion and the serpent you will trample under foot.

14 Those who love me, I will deliver;
I will protect those who know my name.
15 When they call to me, I will answer them;
I will be with them in trouble,
I will rescue them and honour them.
16 With long life I will satisfy them,
and show them my salvation.

Maybe the important dig at Bethesda has yeilded up an indecipherable glob of rusted metal, puzzling the Archaeologists.

We should show them this picture. It might solve the puzzle!

Good word.i believe Saint Ann’s church is next to that, on the north side of the temple mount. Everything now is about 60-90 feet below since the city has been rebuilt many times
