[Catholic Caucus] Jubilee: LGBT “Pilgrimage” Received with Insignia

Diane Montagna, on her X account, describes herself as an American journalist based in Rome and accredited to the Holy See. She has conducted a series of interviews with Bishop Athanasius Schneider for the publication of the book Christus vincit, The Triumph of Christ over the Darkness of Our Time, and is the executive director of the website The College of Cardinals Report.

On the occasion of the LGBT “pilgrimage” that took place for the Jubilee Year in St. Peter's in Rome on September 6, 2025—officially organized by several associations, particularly by "Tenda di Gionata" [Jonathan’s Tent], whose name still appears on the Jubilee calendar (in Italian)—Diane Montagna had sought to avoid the predictable excesses by drawing the attention of those in charge.

She had asked Matteo Bruni, Director of the Holy See press office, and then the Dicastery for Evangelization, if explicit symbols would be tolerated during this "pilgrimage." She was reassured: no flags, banners, or other standards would be allowed, but "only the official Jubilee cross" would be permitted on the Via della Concilliazone and when crossing the Holy Door.

But during the event, the journalist was able to see for herself that a rainbow cross was being carried by the group, even inside the basilica. In the "procession," before the entrance, an umbrella in LGBT colors was clearly visible. Moreover, many participants carried rainbow flags, more or less unfurled. There are photos to prove it.

Within the procession, the very explicit attire of male "couples," in particular, left no doubt about their relationship. The LGBT "Jubilee" T-shirt, in the familiar six colors, was also plastered across everyone's chests. Diane Montagna even saw an LGBT flag worn on a priest's shoulders, crossed out with the words "intersex-inclusive."

This explains why Michael Matt, editor-in-chief of The Remnant, headlined an article, “Gay Pride at St. Peter’s.” Bishop Schneider, interviewed by Diane Montagna, expressed his deep outrage and demanded reparations from those responsible. This interview was reprinted by InfoCatolica and InfoVaticana, both in Spanish, as well as by Lifesitenews.

The "LGBT" cross in St. Peter's Basilica

But that's not all. Before passing through the Holy Door, the pilgrims attended a Mass celebrated by Francesco Savino, one of the vice-presidents of the Italian Bishops' Conference, at the Church of the Gesù in Rome. During the sermon, the bishop said: "Brothers and sisters, I say this with emotion: it is time to restore dignity to all, especially to those who have been denied it." It was a statement that was greeted with long applause. Afterwards, all participants were invited to receive communion.

This episode clearly demonstrates the unconditional welcome offered by men of the Church to people who identify as homosexual, and no one asks them to repent or renounce a sinful lifestyle.

This event is an abomination, as Bishop Schneider so aptly put it. A desecration in the strict sense, since individuals living in a state of sin absolutely contrary to the will of God and publicly claiming it, have accomplished a mockery of holiness. No one can become holy if they do not first renounce their sin.

But that is out of the question. The homosexuals who entered St. Peter's Basilica want to be recognized and accepted as such. They renounce nothing: they want the immutable will of God to change; they demand that the Church proclaim that God has changed, that He is no longer the same—in other words, that He is no longer God.

The “LGBT” colors are not hidden...

In this event, there is not only a sin on the part of the authorities who continued this demonstration by accepting this proclamation of “gay pride” that rose up against God in the Petrine Basilica, but also a scandal destined to continue. For such authorization will considerably expand the influence of these homosexual groups in the Church.

And it will thereby considerably diminish the strength of Catholic teaching, not only with regard to sexual morality, but with regard to all morality. As St. James says in his Epistle: “And whosoever shall keep the whole law, but offend in one point, is become guilty of all.” If the Church has erred in this area, how can she assert herself in others? It is her very authority that crumbles.

Through the false pastoral approach being implemented throughout the Church, through the sinister declaration Fiducia Supplicans, and now this culmination of the "LGBT pilgrimage" of the Jubilee Year, Catholic morality, not only on this point, but on all others, is about to collapse. Will Leo XIV’s pontificate be the one to watch this disaster unfold without doing anything?

For its part, the Society of Saint Pius X calls for prayer. The upcoming Ember Days of September can be an opportunity to pray and fast to ask God for forgiveness and to offer our reparation in union with Our Lord's sacrifice on the altars. May Our Lady of Compassion inspire us in this resolution.

Meanwhile, oystir spreads malicious falsehoods about the SSPX, while fully supporting the lavender mafia, frankenjesuits and sodomy in general.

Bishops Strickland and Schneider are the targets of oystir’s vile attacks, while he defends the likes of homosexualists like Jimmy Martin, S.J. and Bergoglio’s pet, Tucho Fernandez, and his homo-blessings.

“They renounce nothing: they want the immutable will of God to change; they demand that the Church proclaim that God has changed, that He is no longer the same—in other words, that He is no longer God.”

That’s the nub of it. And the Vatican is embracing that.

The Church of Peter ordained by Jesus will survive, but it won’t be this one. Not now.
