🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem 🇮🇱(10/12/25)[Prayer]

Water, Rivers, and Streams in the Bible
Job 14:7-12
7 “At least there is hope for a tree:
If it is cut down, it will sprout again,
and its new shoots will not fail.
8 Its roots may grow old in the ground
and its stump die in the soil,
9 yet at the scent of water it will bud
and put forth shoots like a plant.
10 But a man dies and is laid low;
he breathes his last and is no more.
11 As the water of a lake dries up
or a riverbed becomes parched and dry,
12 so he lies down and does not rise;
till the heavens are no more, people will not awake
or be roused from their sleep.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Oh LORD, Our God
You Alone are LORD,
You Alone are Sovereign.
You Reign Over All Of Your Creation,
All of Nature Sings of Your Glory!
You Alone Are Worthy of Praise
Awesome in Power
And Wonderful Beyond Measure!
How Magnificent that You have Chosen to Manifest Yourself
In Such Wonders!
Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
”The Greatest Of these Is Love.”
If you would like to be on or off the Daily Ping List, please let me know.

Amen !!! <>< (NOTE:We must pray this daily from here on out)
Psalm 91
1 You who live in the shelter of the Most High,
who abide in the shadow of the Almighty,*
2 will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.’
3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
and from the deadly pestilence;
4 he will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
5 You will not fear the terror of the night,
or the arrow that flies by day,
6 or the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
or the destruction that wastes at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only look with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the Lord your refuge,*
the Most High your dwelling-place,
10 no evil shall befall you,
no scourge come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.
12 On their hands they will bear you up,
so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the adder,
the young lion and the serpent you will trample under foot.
14 Those who love me, I will deliver;
I will protect those who know my name.
15 When they call to me, I will answer them;
I will be with them in trouble,
I will rescue them and honour them.
16 With long life I will satisfy them,
and show them my salvation.

My Sis and I have come up with a game. One of us says a line from a movie, and the other identifies the movie that the line came from. Back and forth we go, and it gets pretty lively. Both my parents were big Movie-Buffs, and they actually met in a Movie Theater (The Morton, in Dorchester, MA), where they both worked as teenagers. Musing about this brought back a memory from this Thread, that I wrote in 2018:
The History of Cinema is just a little over 100 years old, but like the history of aeronautics, has undergone more changes in 100 years than most other arts or sciences. From hand-cranked Nickelodeons to IMAX and CGI, the panorama of progress in film-making would baffle the early pioneers. (And I wonder what the Wright Brothers would think of the Space Shuttle!). Still, all the Special Effects and Technical Magic are worthless without good writing. We see this now manifested in endless sequels in the same genre, stuntman and special effects wizardry replaced by a computer program, and CGI characters being voiced by overpaid actors reading a hackneyed script. Still, perhaps because the public has been conditioned to accept this, the movies still make lots of money.
Back-In-The-Day, the script was more important than the Special Effects. The Original Series of Star Trek got most of their props and scenery from thrift stores, but the scripts were written by such revered Sci-Fi authors as Harlan Ellison, D. C. Fontana, and Gene L. Coon. The same could be said about the old Twilight Zone series, with its cardboard sets and compelling scripts.
One of the most prestigious awards was the Oscar or Emmy for the best writing. More than once, the Winning Screenwriter would start his or her acceptance speech with a familiar line and a knowing smile.
"In The Beginning was the Word."
Yes...I remember that line being said more than once. But I also remember hearing that line in church. What did it MEAN, anyway?
Well, of course, the screenwriter was saying that you can't have a movie without a script. And you can't have a GOOD movie without a GOOD script. So the WRITER is perhaps the most important person in the project. (Nowadays...not so much it seems)
The Book of Job is considered to be the oldest Book in the Bible. While the WORD of the Book is Inspired, the same can't be said of the words attributed to Job and his (alleged) Friends. Each one of the characters in the story spouts his own understanding of The Eternal, and, while some things are correct, others are not. The Book accurately records their speeches about God, Fate, Suffering, and Justice. These are the opinions of the individuals in the Story. (God sets them ALL straight in the closing chapters!).
Today's Passage is a perfect illustration of that. Job first speaks of this wonderful phenomenon in Nature, when New Life springs forth from a dead tree stump. That profound Truth is later expounded in Isaiah, to describe the Messiah springing forth from the dead stump of Jesse's family. It's so marvelously true that the next few lines are a bit of a downer.
After the beautiful picture of the sprouting tree stump, Job moans that it's NOT the same for people. Once you're dead, you're DEAD. Even though God has given us ample evidence of New Life sprouting in every facet of His Creation, Job can't see forward to the Resurrection of the Dead.
However, as he stated earlier, "I Know My Redeemer Lives." (Job 19:25), and he also speaks of his longing for an Advocate in Heaven.
Job "gets it", so I guess he was having a bad day.
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
”Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.” (Hosea 6:3 NIV)

Great story, so true. Let my people think, become untangled from flashes of this and that, especially programed social and behavioral change propaganda.

Joining in prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem and for our beloved America.
I loved Star Trek, the original series, especially since it had many Judeo-Christian themes: e.g. Bread and Circuses.

Remember the "Yangs and the Koms"?
I'm old enough to remember the very first time Star Trek was on TV.
