🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem 🇮🇱(10/11/25)[Prayer]

Water, Rivers, and Streams in the Bible
Job 12:13-16

13  “To God belong wisdom and power;
    counsel and understanding are his.

14  What he tears down cannot be rebuilt;
    those he imprisons cannot be released.

15  If he holds back the waters, there is drought;
    if he lets them loose, they devastate the land.

16  To him belong strength and insight;
    both deceived and deceiver are his.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father in Heaven,
We Come before You in Humility
For we know That You Are the One True Shepherd,
And that we stray all the time!
Create in me a clean heart, Oh Lord
And renew a right spirit within me
Cast me not from Thy Presence
And do not take Thy Holy Spirit from me.
Let me never grieve Your Holy Spirit
With attitudes of haughtiness or presumption
But keep me in Your Tender Care always
That I may dwell with You Forever.

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.

”The Greatest Of these Is Love.”

If you would like to be on or off the Daily Ping List, please let me know.

Prayers for the quick liberation of the remaining hostages and joyful reunion with their families.

Psalm 121

A song for ascents.
I lift my eyes to the mountains;
from where will my help come? My help comes from the LORD,
maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot give way;
your guardian will not slumber; See, the guardian of Israel
neither slumbers nor sleeps! The LORD is your guardian,
the LORD is your protection
at your right hand. By day the sun will not strike you,
nor the moon by night. The LORD will guard you from all harm;
He will guard your life. The LORD will guard your going and coming
now and forever.

Next Friday is my Birthday, but I'm working Friday Night. My sisters are having a party for me the night before, on Thursday, in a very nice Italian Restaurant that used to be a Tavern until it changed ownership. Here is a little story about the place before it went "elegant":

"You'll love the Open Mike Nite at 'Jones's Tavern',"said my sister."All the REAL musicians hang out there, and will jam with you if you ask them to. You get to have a whole band back you up!"

Well, that sounded good to me, as I have been playing professionally for over 30 years, and even as a retiree, it's nice to jam with fellow professionals. So, even though I had to work quite late that evening, "Jones's Tavern" was in the next town over from my last student of the day, and a pleasant ride on the motorcycle. I did not have my guitar with me, but I figured that one of the "Professionals" would have a decent instrument that I could borrow for my set.

I was welcomed, and given a very nice electric guitar to play, and as I went up to the stage, a man with drumsticks in his hand asked if he could play with me. I assented, with full confidence that this was going to be FUN! Well, from the first chord, it was evident that this was the worst drummer in the HISTORY OF MUSIC. Not only was he bad, off the beat, loud, and in the wrong style from the simple rock song I was playing, but he was obnoxious and belligerent about it, playing loudly against my singing, stopping and starting in the wrong places, and putting "flams" and loud accents where they didn't belong. I kept singing, keeping perfect time on the rhythm guitar, and soldiered on as all kinds of thoughts went through my head. Was this man mentally challenged? Did he come here every week and people just humor him so he could feel some self-esteem? Were people afraid to say no to him? Could he become violent if I ask him to stop? Was I being a snobby jerk by wanting him NOT to play with me? Had I been "set up"? I looked out and tried to ascertain what was going on with the crowd. They seemed to be laughing. I tried to be gracious, but the truth was, this guy was AWFUL.

At the end of the third song, the Emcee went up to the "drummer" and said "ML wants to do some solo work now." He tried to get the drummer to step down, and at that point it became clear to me that the copious consumption of adult beverages was the reason for the atrocious behavior of the drummer. He was not mentally challenged, nor was he a regular at Open Mike Night. The TRUTH was that he was a mean drunk.

After he was "escorted" from the stage, I did three more songs solo and was warmly received. Afterward, I found out that the laughter I saw in the audience was actually admiration for me being so "professional" that I could still perform three songs in perfect time with all that racket going on, and that I had been so "gracious" to someone who did not deserve grace at all. The TRUTH was, the guy was a jerk. Being only human, I could not be 100% Grace and 100% Truth at the same time. That's why, when the Apostle John says "FULL of Grace and Truth" he is speaking of a phenomenon that can only be present in The One True God.

The Book of Job seems to be heavy on the Truth Side, and Light on the Grace Side. A lot of Bible Readers avoid it, because it may have a "Debbie Downer" effect on them. It certainly did that to me the first couple of times I read it. It's the first Book in my "Poetry Bookmark" which means I read it through twice a year. Since I've been doing the Eight-Bookmark thing for over twenty years, that means that I've read the Book of Job over forty times, at least. That's not counting the few times previously that I avoided reading it (LOL)

Today's Passage from Job is all about Grace and Truth. Nature is a delicate balance, and the very things we need desperately to survive can also kill us in excess. Water can nourish us, cleanse us, heal us, or drown us. There is Grace in Water, and also Truth. God made it that way.

All the way through the Book of Job, we are confronted with this struggle. Job's alleged friends are telling the truth when they pontificate about Judgment and Sin, Cause and Effect, Crime and Punishment. There is Truth in their pronouncements, but no Grace.

Job, on the other hand, while not losing faith, fails to understand that sometimes, bad things happen to decent people. His complaint is also "true".

Neither Job nor his friends can comprehend that The Almighty can be 100% Grace and Truth at the same time.

But then again, WHO can?

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

”Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.” (Hosea 6:3 NIV)

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Amen !!! <>< (NOTE:We must pray this daily from here on out)

Psalm 91

1 You who live in the shelter of the Most High,
who abide in the shadow of the Almighty,*
2 will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.’
3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
and from the deadly pestilence;
4 he will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
5 You will not fear the terror of the night,
or the arrow that flies by day,
6 or the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
or the destruction that wastes at noonday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only look with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 Because you have made the Lord your refuge,*
the Most High your dwelling-place,
10 no evil shall befall you,
no scourge come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.
12 On their hands they will bear you up,
so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the adder,
the young lion and the serpent you will trample under foot.

14 Those who love me, I will deliver;
I will protect those who know my name.
15 When they call to me, I will answer them;
I will be with them in trouble,
I will rescue them and honour them.
16 With long life I will satisfy them,
and show them my salvation.
