Orange pro nobis.
The Rosary is not prayed during the Stations of the Cross; they are two separate, distinct Catholic devotions. The Stations of the Cross involve a series of prayers and meditations on 14 specific events of Jesus’ Passion, while the Rosary is a set of prayers, including the Our Father and Hail Marys, said while meditating on the mysteries of Jesus’ and Mary’s lives. They left out the Glory Be.
Yes, Holy Water is used during Extreme Unction (now called the Anointing of the Sick) in the Catholic Church as part of the preparations and administration of the sacrament, where the priest blesses the sick person and the room with holy water upon entering. The holy water is part of a set of items, including a crucifix, candles, and holy oil, that a priest brings to minister the sacrament to a sick or dying person. Thanks for the thread. Made me think of popes and a lot of things. I hope the ice that was blessed and melted became holy water.
And about 50 years before that, German Protestant rulers, egged on by Martin Luther, slaughtered up to 100,000 poorly armed peasants and farmers in the Peasant Revolt. So what's your point?
The Glory be... was never left out of the rosary.
You’ve been away too long.
Come on home.
*Ora
Autocorrect! 😮
Of course! I immediately understood.
Yeah....Roman Catholics don't worship Mary at all.....naaaaa.
A completely un-Scriptural thing to call Mary our life, refuge and hope and to claim we have to go through Mary.
The other error is giving Mary the credit for the victory vs God.
But if one digs into the actual history of the battle, the facts are quite different than what romans try to push.
The 16th century Peasant War in Germany was a revolt against the RCC's land grabs and control-freak ways against the poor. Luther tried to talk the peasants into peaceful protest, but failed. He told them if they keep stealing and killing that eventually they'd experience FAFO, and they did. (My cliff notes version of Luther's Against the Robbing and Murdering Hordes of Peasants in 1525). Especially since the peasants were killing in the name of God.
The Swabian League that wiped out the peasants was a creation of the Holy Roman Empire. You blaming it on Protestants are like today's Dims blaming Republicans for the KKK that the Dims created and ran.
“See how the prots always gang up to attack Mary as the Mother of Jesus Christ, the Son of God?“
Yep, you prots are doing it on every open thread.
Attacking the Mother of God!
That is incorrect. The peasants were revolting against the rich land owners and rulers who had left Catholicism to become Protestant so they could grab Church lands and property. The peasants at first believed they should receive a share of this thievery and when they didn't, they revolted. Martin Luther's advice to these Protestant rulers was to cut the peasants down like dogs.
Yep, it's like a dog whistle to them. They scurry out from under every slimy rock, mouths a-foamin'.
Every single prot who denies Mary is the Mother of God is denying that Jesus is God.
It’s that simple.
See the massive error Rome has constructed?
I doubt you will.
I see some people are even below being “simple”.
“See how the prots always gang up to attack Mary as the Mother of Jesus Christ, the Son of God?“
Aren’t these YOUR words, where you say Jesus Christ is the Son of God?
YOUR words say Mary is the mother of Jesus Christ.
You were correct about something. It might be a FIRST.
HEY CATHOLICS- Ebb Tide wrote this a few days ago:
“See how the prots always gang up to attack Mary as the Mother of Jesus Christ, the Son of God?”
Should be still be considered a Catholic “in good standing”??
Was he EVER?
Here are ebb tide’s very own words:
“See how the prots always gang up to attack Mary as the Mother of Jesus Christ, the Son of God?”
I will be happy to provide the grammatical breakdown for you. If you can’t understand that he admits he’s been wrong all these years.
Would anyone like to see his explanation of the logic he uses?
I would be happy to provide it for you. Frankly, it’s hilarious.
