Talk about poor timing! On the same day that news broke of an Islamist attack on a Catholic Parish in the Congo that left 64 dead and many wounded, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops published a 15-page booklet, “Islamophobia: A Guide for U.S. Catholics on Anti-Muslim Bigotry.”
The purpose of the booklet is to warn Catholics about “the rising tide of anti-Muslim sentiment.” I’m not aware of any “rising tide” of anti-Muslim bigotry in the U.S., but I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a rising tide of anti-Muslim sentiment in Africa — where the burning of churches and the slaughter of Christians is an everyday affair.
Were the bishops so out of touch that they failed to realize that Christianity, not Islam, is by far the most persecuted faith in the world. Didn’t they know that the main persecutors of Christians are Muslims?
The author of the Guide is Dr. Jordan Denari Duffner who holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in theological studies from Georgetown University and currently teaches at Georgetown and other universities in the Washington, D.C. area. She is also a member of the USCCB’s National Catholic—Muslim Dialogue.
Her connection to the USCCB and Georgetown is significant because it offers another example of bad timing. Just months before the USCCB’s publication of Duffner’s Guide, Georgetown University was the center of a massive scandal concerning the very department for which Duffner worked.

This cements my thoughts on the RCC. They are not righteous, and they do not follow the leadership of the same Messiah I do. Not a dig at parishioners, but at the heirarchy of the church.
Can they issue a paper on Christophobia?
Did they also think German Jews were in the most danger from naziphobia in the 1930s?

The only chance they have is Trump and us. The other way leads to the extinction of their Church.

The greatest danger is Islamic Jihad.
It is not a phobia. It is legitimate. And last but not least if is survival. You can ignore it at your peril. But you will not be able to ignore the consequences of ignoring it.
And we wonder why the pews are empty in the U.S.
I grudgingly attend an ELCA church, (My wife’s family church). I’m in my mid 50’s and I’m the youngster there. A bunch of silver-haired ladies in the pews nodding as they bastardize the teachings, and apologize for anything American, with no more than 6 kids in attendance under the age of 13.
Sad.
The greatest threat we face is leftist, globalist organizations like the USCCB.
And islam is the threat, not *fear* of islam. People are naturally biased against those who want to kill them.

True. the homophobia and Islamophobia imply fear but we need a word for hate and disdain. I think extremely few are afraid of gays, for example. But hostility? Yes, from many.
