🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem 🇮🇱(10/3/25)[Prayer]

Water, Rivers, and Streams in the Bible
Judges 15:18-19
18 Because he was very thirsty, he cried out to the Lord, “You have given your servant this great victory. Must I now die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?” 19 Then God opened up the hollow place in Lehi, and water came out of it. When Samson drank, his strength returned and he revived. So the spring was called En Hakkore,[a] and it is still there in Lehi.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Our Lord and our God
How Excellent is Your Name Over All the Earth!
You Lovingkindness is from Everlasting To Everlasting
And From Generation to Generation.
You Alone Are Worthy of Our Worship,
You Alone Are Holy,
You Alone Are Righteous,
You Alone Are The One True God.
Let us love You With All Our Souls,
All Our Minds,
And All Our Strength!
Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
”The Greatest Of these Is Love.”
If you would like to be on or off the Daily Ping List, please let me know.

Language is a very subtle thing.Translating is very difficult, because to different groups of people, the same word has different meanings. For example, let's take the simple English word "scale".
1. To a musician, "scale" means a succession of pitches that ascend or descend in a particular order. However, if the musician is from Europe or America, the scale is different from the scale for a musician in Africa, India, or China.
2. To a doctor or sports trainer, the scale is that awful thing you stand on that reveals your weight!
3. To a dentist, it is a procedure that scrapes plaque off your teeth causing great pain and expense...EEK!
4. To a mountain climber, it is what you do to a mountain!
5. To a snake or a fish, it's what makes up his skin.
6. To a person, it's what you DON'T want on your skin.
7. To a mathematician it means something else (don't ask...I was hoping there wouldn't be math involved LOL).
I think I have made my case. You will be tested on this, but I will scale the grades.
OK...enough silliness, but as you can see, what we say to people is received through that person's FILTER. We read a "tweet" and say "Right On!" while others are appalled by the same exact words. You know what I'm talking about.
An enigmatic character from the Book of Judges is Samson.
1. To a Hollywood Director, Samson is a Musclebound Gladiator Type, perfect for a "Sword and Sandals" B-Movie.
2. To the child in Sunday School, he was Superhero, whose hair was like Kryptonite when it got cut.
3. To the casual reader of Scripture, he was somewhat of a jerk, who let his lust get in the way of his successful career as a Judge. This was like Hercules, a hero with a tragic flaw.
4. To a Blues Musician, he's the subject of a song (later recorded by The Grateful Dead and included on the "Terrapin Station" Album).
Samson is all of these things and more. He was a miracle child, born to a barren woman in her old age, sworn from before birth to be a Nazarite. This was a special office of dedication and separation unto God, involving temperance and self-control. It was symbolized by the long hair, and cutting it off meant the end of the avowed relationship. Samson kept the long hair, but wasn't too good at keeping the other parts of the deal.
Perhaps his great strength gave him the mistaken notion that he was invulnerable. Perhaps his parents, so blessed to finally have a son in their old age, doted on him a bit too much, and thus gave him a sense of entitlement. Whatever it was, his dedication as a Nazarite, strength as a Warrior, and integrity as a Judge of Israel were compromised by his Worldly Desires. Lust, Cruelty, Pettiness, and Vengefulness tainted his Ministry.
His enemies were eager to exploit these weaknesses, and were successful for a while.
Just as God answered Samson's Prayer for Water instantly, He also answered Samson's prayer for one last bit of strength in his dying moment to be victorious.
Too bad Samson didn't pray more often. It would have saved him and his parents a lot of Tsouris.

Psalm 110
Of David. A Psalm.
1 The Lord says to my lord,
‘Sit at my right hand
until I make your enemies your footstool.’
2 The Lord sends out from Zion
your mighty sceptre.
Rule in the midst of your foes.
3 Your people will offer themselves willingly
on the day you lead your forces
on the holy mountains.*
From the womb of the morning,
like dew, your youth* will come to you.
4 The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind,
‘You are a priest for ever according to the order of Melchizedek.’*
5 The Lord is at your right hand;
he will shatter kings on the day of his wrath.
6 He will execute judgement among the nations,
filling them with corpses;
he will shatter heads
over the wide earth.
7 He will drink from the stream by the path;
therefore he will lift up his head.
