I've heard this very thing in church (about 2/3rds black). They had no clue who the real Charlie Kirk was until he was murdered and they were compelled to watch videos posted on youtube (or whatever) by his team instead of the haters showing clips of him taken out of context. They all said they wished their young adult kids had gone to hear him speak.

Of course, many of these people were the same ones who came to me 5 years ago and whispered to me that George Floyd isn't their hero.

I was always impressed at how Kirk could let the most vile insults bouce off of him then calmly continue with the discussion.
