Oh, how I love Your instructions! I think about them all day long. Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, for they are my constant guide. Yes, I have more insight than my teachers, for I am always thinking of your laws. I am even wiser than my elders, for I have kept your commandments.
I have refused to walk on any evil path, so that I may remain obedient to Your word. I haven’t turned away from Your regulations, for you have taught me well.
How sweet Your words taste to me; they are sweeter than honey. Your commandments give me understanding; no wonder I hate every false way of life.! (Psalm 119:97-104)
FATHER GOD,
Thank you for the WORD, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, who was in the beginning and spoke the world into being.
* "Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him" (Proverbs 30:5).
* "For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword" (Hebrews 4:12).
* "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path" (Psalm 119:105).
* "The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever" (Isaiah 40:8).
Throughout the Bible, You command us to read and meditate upon Your WORD, and teach it to our children. Because “all Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
FATHER, what made us the ‘greatest nation on earth’ was because believers studied Your Word, obeyed Your Commands and applied its truth to every aspect of their lives. Now here we are as a nation, Bible illiterate even though millions of copies of the Bibles lay unread on coffee tables, in book shelves, and online.
Crime is rampant. Child gangs brutally beat people to a pulp. Thievery is a ‘right’. The Golden Rule is no longer taught at home or in public schools. Children can’t understand basic reading and math.
We have fallen away from Your precepts and are reaping the whirlwind.
Awaken the remnant, LORD! Make dry bones come alive! Restore us to health so we can teach the younger generations your Ways. Forgive us for failing to teach them Your Word.
Like in Nehemiah’s day, help us rebuild the foundations of our faith and government. Some say it’s too late, but with You all things are possible.
Enable the border patrol to catch and repatriate the illegal aliens in our nation.
Convict those who brazenly took part in seditious and treasonous acts against President Trump and our nation. Restore the fortunes of the victims and their families.
Give those who do not know You the opportunity know salvation and the joy of living a righteous life. Help us all to do our parts in spreading the Good News.
In JESUS’ name we pray. Amen.

Falling away from Your Word has opened the door that Islam may enter, witchcraft may enter, depravity may enter.
Lord, help us to once again be a God fearing culture. Help us to witness to those who have fallen by the wayside, who do not know Your Truth, and who are inviting destruction.
Let us be as Nineveh in the time of Jonah. Let us repent and return to the Only True and Living God. May Christ be our Lord.
