A Baptist-Zionist Rebuttal to the Vatican’s Anti-Israel Rhetoric
The recent statements from Pope Leo XIV and the Vatican accusing Israel of “barbarity” and “indiscriminate force” are not only factually baseless—they are morally outrageous and theologically dishonest. Once again, the Roman Catholic Church (RC)—with its long history of anti-Jewish persecution and theological corruption—has chosen to condemn Israel while remaining blind to the evil of Hamas.
The strike on the Holy Family Church in Gaza, while tragic, was clearly unintentional—a product of the fog of war. There is no credible evidence that the IDF deliberately targeted the church. In fact, Israel upholds a strict policy of protecting religious sites, and any damage was either accidental or the result of Hamas using civilian areas for cover. That’s not “barbarity”—that’s collateral damage in an urban war zone, something all honest military analysts understand.
The Vatican’s sudden “tone shift” exposes a deeper agenda: its commitment to Replacement Theology, the heresy that claims the Church has replaced Israel in God’s plan. This theology has fueled centuries of persecution, from the Crusades to the Inquisition, where RC leaders sanctioned the torture and murder of countless Jews. The Catholic Church did nothing during the Holocaust—and today it still refuses to recognize the prophetic miracle of Israel’s rebirth in 1948. This is not Christianity—it is false religion wrapped in ritual and politics.
To our Jewish friends and the people of Israel: the Vatican does not speak for true Christians. We who follow the Bible—the whole Bible—know that God’s covenant with Israel is eternal (Genesis 17:7-8). We reject every form of Replacement Theology and stand with you unapolagetically.
We are Baptist. Zionist. Pro-Israel.
We recognize the Jewish people as God’s chosen nation. We support Israel’s right to defend itself. We mourn with you when terror strikes and rejoice with you in your victories. We are not fair-weather friends. We are covenant friends.
While the Vatican hoards billions in gold and property, offering empty words, we will continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, support Israel practically, and boldly call out the false religion that masquerades as Christianity while opposing God’s people.
The Bible warns of a coming false religious system—a “Mother of Harlots” (Revelation 17)—that will align with the Antichrist and persecute Israel during the Great Tribulation. Many see the Vatican at the center of that system. Pope Leo XIV’s slander of Israel only strengthens that prophetic picture.
Let it be known: true Christians bless Israel. Those who curse Israel will be cursed (Genesis 12:3). We choose blessing. We choose truth. We choose Israel.

Genesis 12:3 says nothing about blessing Israel. Much less about blessing a 1948 creature of the United Nations.
Not true. You should read the Bible before commenting like a teacher and being held accountable by God Himself, a JEW, as a FALSE teacher. God hardened their hearts so that we might be saved. But in the end, ALL ISRAEL WILL BE SAVED.

I don’t know what the heck is going on there any more than most. But I do know this...if I were in his position, I’d be spending a lot of time speaking with the priests and bishops on the ground there.
Israel is not mentioned in Genesis 12:3. The blessing is for Abram.

The Church teaches that Jews have a special path to Salvation to GOD without being saved. That is MUCH worse than not supporting Israel.
