Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Oh LORD,
Our God,
How Blessed is Your Holy Name!
You Alone Are Worthy of Praise,
For You Alone Are The One True God.
Omnipotent,
Omniscient,
and Omnipresent,
Wash us Clean, Oh LORD,
And Clothe Us In Your Righteousness.

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.

Ever since seeing the movie "Lawrence of Arabia", I've been interested in that enigmatic historical figure. It's interesting that his two great passions, Motorcycling and Biblical Archaeology, are also mine. He took a solo motorcycling trip from Cairo, Egypt, to Suez. (I thought I was cool riding the Hana Road in Maui, but there's always someone who can surpass one's greatest feat of daring!)

When Lawrence got called to Army HQ in Cairo, he had been working on a dig in the Ottoman Empire named Carchamesh. This ancient city was the site of a Battle between King Josiah of Judah and Necho, King of Egypt. It's not nearly as famous as the digs in Meggido or Jericho, but it was a big city at the time. Like all big Ancient Cities, it was built near water, in this case the Euphrates River.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
