Polish bishop warns of ‘Islamization of Europe’ as he denounces open borders

Antoni Długosz, auxiliary bishop emeritus of Częstochowa, spoke about the Polish government's dangerous migration policies last Saturday during a pilgrimage.

A Polish bishop has denounced his government as “political gangsters” who foster the “Islamization of Europe” through their migration policy.

According to a report by the Catholic Herald, Antoni Długosz, auxiliary bishop emeritus of Częstochowa, spoke about the Polish government’s dangerous migration policies last Saturday during an annual pilgrimage to the Jasna Góra monastery, where the famous Black Madonna icon is displayed.

“German police are tossing illegal immigrants across the border like objects,” Długosz said, adding that “we Poles know what mercy is, and it doesn’t mean we should open our doors to all illegal immigrants.”

“It creates serious problems in the countries [the immigrants] arrive in,” he continued. “For decades, the Islamisation of Europe has been progressing through mass immigration. What we are witnessing now in Poland is only the beginning. It began the same way in the West.”

“Poland is now ruled by political gangsters,” he stated, citing the words of Prime Minister Donald Tusk used to describe the former conservative Law and Justice (PiS) government.

During the same pilgrimage, Bishop Wiesław Mering, emeritus bishop of Wlocławek, also spoke out against the migration policy of the government on Sunday.

“Our borders are threatened from both west and east,” Mering said, in reference to Germany pushing back thousands of illegal migrants to Poland from the west and Belarus engineering a migration crisis from the east.

Last week, Poland reintroduced border control with Lithuania and Germany, due to a high number of illegal migrants being sent back from Germany to Poland.

In response to the border crisis, Polish civilians formed so-called “citizens’ patrols” to try to prevent illegal migrants from being pushed back into Poland from Germany.

Mering also lamented that “schools are being destroyed by barbarism” because the government is “removing patriotic and national content.”

Bishop Mering defended his right and duty to speak on politics despite the Jasna Gora monastery issuing rules in 2020 banning political speeches.

“[A] bishop’s duty is to bring Christ into politics, because politics without Christ is the greatest plague on the nation,” he said.

During the pilgrimage, the founder of the Catholic radio station Radio Maryja, Father Tadeusz Rydzyk, slammed education minister Barbara Nowacka, a leftist pro-abortion feminist, for removing religion classes from school.

“What are you thinking, you woman?” he asked. “We Catholics, let us not allow [anyone] to spit on the church and God,” said Rydzyk. “Let’s not allow our faith to be taken away. … In order to destroy faith, the church, and then destroy your nation, Islamisation and genderisation are being forcibly introduced.”

In response, Nowacka said on X that “[The Law and Justice party’s] favourite chaplain is in a political frenzy at Jasna Góra,” and noted that she only reduced the religion classes from two hours to one hour a week.

Since taking power in 2023, the left-wing government of Prime Minister Tusk has been accused by its conservative opponents of conducting political purges in public institutions, compromising Polish sovereignty to EU and globalist interests, threatening national security through its liberal immigration policy, as well as introducing LGBT ideology in schools.

That’s been my line ever since they started letting the “refugees” in.

The European governments are between a rock and a hard place. The economies need to grow or the countries will collapse. And the way they grow is by the population growing. But the birth rates are shrinking.

So they allowed the third worlders in, not realizing that was going from the frying pan into the fire. I see them (and LA as well) as our canary in the coal mine.

“[A] bishop’s duty is to bring Christ into politics, because politics without Christ is the greatest plague on the nation,” he said.

No truer words were ever said. Especially in what is supposed to be a free society, leaders of the Church can and should speak out on the issues of the day (including politics). The Constitution only prohibits the establishment of a state church, not take away the free speech rights of any of it's citizens, including religious people. The Johnson Amendment has been held over our heads like the Sword of Damocles for too long.

And the way they grow is by the population growing.

But they aren't growing, so that argument already fails for the neo-marxists.

Like in the USA, its rather how they support their electoral majority, their justification for power, and in particular, the bloated welfare and intel deep state which sustains them..

Yeah. That’s why I said, “from the frying pan into the fire.”

And one way it affects us all is in the breakdown of law and order, and society in general. Multiculturalism is poison to a country.

But they don’t need to let in their traditional enemy.

There are plenty of people you could get from some other Christian part of the world like South America.
