Genesis 16:12 makes it clear that Hagar NAMES the “angel of the Lord” “god” (it’s the same Hebrew root as for “calling”) and worshipped him. There is only one angel mentioned in the Bible who would have let a human make that mistake without correction, as Gabriel makes clear in Revelation when John falls before him. That would be the adversary, Satan himself.

Allah also says that he prays for Mahomet, in the correctly-translated form of Surah 33:56. Of course, to avoid trying to answer who Allah might be praying to, they mistranslate the verse to say Allah blesses Mahomet.

The God that Christians worship is the Holy Trinity which is why the Moslems consider us polytheists. Allah is by no means the same entity.

In the Orthodox Church we affirm the Nicene Creed during Divine Liturgy. A Muslim would deny the creed pretty much point by point. Sorry, there is no common ground there.
