🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem 🇮🇱(7/5/25)[Prayer]

Water, Rivers, and Streams in the Bible
Revelation 22:1-6

Eden Restored

22 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. 3 No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. 4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5 There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Bless the LORD,
Oh My Soul,
And all that is within me Bless His Holy Name!
How Wonderful,
How Glorious,
How Excellent You Are,
Almighty,
Eternal
and Omnipotent Father!
You Alone Are Worthy To Be Praised And Worshiped.

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.

”The Greatest Of these Is Love.”

If you would like to be on or off the Daily Ping List, please let me know.

Yesterday, I rode my 32-year-old Harley to my sister's house, and we had a nice time, just chillin' and playing with her new little (90 lbs) puppy. He's eleven months old, so he probably has reached his growth, but those paws! He's a Big Boy.

At the end of our visit, I suited up, donned my helmet, turned the key, and pressed the Starter.

click click click click click click.

I turned it off, let it rest a bit, checked the spark plugs, tightened up all the connections, and made a second attempt:

click click click click click click.

Only now, the clicks were softer, and began to fade away. I had succeeded in killing the battery.

Across the street, and older gentleman and his wife were enjoying the sunshine, when he asked if I needed a charge. After calling my brother, and finding out he was on a boat in the middle of Massachusetts Bay, I eagerly agreed.

This required removing the seat. My Brother had once shown me how to jump the bike WITHOUT removing the seat, but I forgot what went where, and didn't want to short out the whole system. So I attacked the 32-year-old Phillips Head Screw that held the seat on, and promptly stripped the head of the screw. Grrrrrr. The older gentleman, who used to ride, asked my sister if she had a different screwdriver, which she did, and the seat was removed. We hooked up a Trickle Charger (with a long, long cord) and waited for the battery to charge up. Meanwhile another older gentleman and his wife pulled up, and said they would go back home and get a "Jump Charger" to jolt the battery into action. So they went home and came back, and we disconnected one charger and hooked up the other. (Now I actually have TWO chargers at home, one, a gift from my Brother, and another, a gift from a beloved Member of this site, but they were both at home, where they are nice and safe. Anyway, I digress)

The engine roared to life, I quickly detached the charger, reattached the seat, donned my gear, and roared off into the sunset.

The Bike performed admirably for about a half hour, but then, less than six miles from home, it REALLY died. Not even a feeble click. The battery was dead, dead, dead. Since my Brother was still out on the High Seas, I did what any Red-Blooded Biker would do. I called AAA.

I've been a faithful customer of AAA for nearly 50 years. Anytime I've had to call them, I have ALWAYS gotten a human being. Not this time. A computer voice that I could barely understand harangued me to check my text for a link to an app. Like a lot of Senior Citizens, I DO NOT have a "smart phone". I have a flip phone which used to be perfectly adequate for calling AAA. Now, even though I have faithfully paid my dues, there is no way I can get help from them. I will be canceling the account next Business Day.

I heard the distinct rumble of a Harley coming down the street, and I stood out on the street waving my helmet at him. He stopped and examined the Bike.

"Looks like the Stator or the Voltage Regulator. Can't fix it here, but how much further do you have to go?"

When I explained that it was only about six miles, next town over, he said:

"I'll go home, get the truck and some cables, and we'll give it another jump. I'll follow you home, and if you need another jump, we'll just do it again."

He roared off, and I removed the seat again, and waited.

While I waited, a man and his son in a car offered me a jump, several folks stopped and asked if I was OK, a woman stopped and offered me the use of her smart phone to call AAA (which I politely declined), and a guy and gal on a Harley stopped to see if they could help. Then, my "knight in shining armor" showed up with his truck. We jumped the bike, reinstalled the seat, and I rode home, with him following closely in his truck. Monday, I will call my mechanic and make an appointment. Then, when I need to get there, I will give it a charge and ride to the shop, which is six miles away.

AND, I will make call to cancel AAA and demand a refund.

Today's Scripture gives us a little taste of Heaven. A big feature of Heaven is The River of Life, Clear as Crystal, flowing from the Throne of God.

When I read this Passage, I'm reminded of some of the rides I've done on my old motorcycle, when it (and I) were still young. West Virginia's motto is "Almost Heaven", and it fits. Every time I hear that John Denver song (which is frequently as it's in my sister's repertoire), I think of those country roads, twisting and turning through the Mountains, following the course of a crystal-clear river, sparkling in the sun.

I've never seen the real Heaven, but I've seen things that were "almost" there. And it's been on my faithful Harley.

It's definitely worth getting a new Voltage Regulator.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

”Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.” (Hosea 6:3 NIV)

There are so many things about heaven and Lord Jesus that are hard to comprehend with our limited human hearts and minds. When we come into our King’s presence it will be beyond our wildest imagination. And you won’t have to worry about dead batteries!

Psalm 41

To the leader. A Psalm of David.

1 Happy are those who consider the poor;*
the Lord delivers them in the day of trouble.
2 The Lord protects them and keeps them alive;
they are called happy in the land.
You do not give them up to the will of their enemies.
3 The Lord sustains them on their sickbed;
in their illness you heal all their infirmities.*

4 As for me, I said, ‘O Lord, be gracious to me;
heal me, for I have sinned against you.’
5 My enemies wonder in malice
when I will die, and my name perish.
6 And when they come to see me, they utter empty words,
while their hearts gather mischief;
when they go out, they tell it abroad.
7 All who hate me whisper together about me;
they imagine the worst for me.

8 They think that a deadly thing has fastened on me,
that I will not rise again from where I lie.
9 Even my bosom friend in whom I trusted,
who ate of my bread, has lifted the heel against me.
10 But you, O Lord, be gracious to me,
and raise me up, that I may repay them.

11 By this I know that you are pleased with me;
because my enemy has not triumphed over me.
12 But you have upheld me because of my integrity,
and set me in your presence for ever.

13 Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel,
from everlasting to everlasting.Amen and Amen.
