🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem 🇮🇱(6/30/25)[Prayer]

Water, Rivers, and Streams in the Bible
Isaiah 43:19

19  See, I am doing a new thing!
    Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
    and streams in the wasteland.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Oh LORD,
Our God,
How Excellent is Your Name over All The Earth!
The Heavens Declare Your Glory,
And All of Your Creation Sings Your Praises!
Holy, Righteous, Just, and True,
Who is Like You?
There is No Other.
For You Alone Are Worthy,
You Alone Are LORD,
You Alone Are The One True God.

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.

”The Greatest Of these Is Love.”

If you would like to be on or off the Daily Ping List, please let me know.

One of my favorite Garden Plants is the Hosta. There hardy perennials lock their roots together, so it is very tough to thin them out. Their big, flat, oval-shaped leaves form a barrier, so they are perfect for defining borders and property lines. Tall stalks reach up from the dense foliage to produce fragrant bell-shaped flowers, and they last long after the other flowers have faded. My property had a lot of hostas already in the ground when I bought it, but I've since added more. My yard looks like a tropical jungle with the "Hosta Takeover". Since they propagate themselves, I have less and less lawn to mow every year.

Just this month, however, we had the worst heat wave in the nine years I've lived here. After 16 years in Florida, one would think that I'm accustomed to the heat, but the last couple of weeks seemed unbearable to me. At least in Florida, the heat is accompanied by the Tradewinds, Palm Trees, and gorgeous Tropical Flowers. Here in New England, the deciduous trees are wilting under the heat, and my hostas all have brown leaves. They look as if they've been burnt.

We were promised Thunderstorms, and the air was crackling with the heavy ions that precede them, but no rain came. It just got more humid. The hostas started shriveling more. I think they may be ruined for this summer, but I know that they'll come back next year, because they're like that. I'm not as optimistic about roses, as they tend to be more persnickety than the hardy, invasive, tough, but faithful hostas.

The Book of Isaiah is wonderful throughout, but the Chapters from 38 to the end are especially inspiring. They speak of "The Servant of the LORD", and are Messianic in nature. Most readers of these Passages recognize Jesus in them, even if they are not Believers. That is why they tend to be controversial. Liberal scholars who would prefer not to see Fulfilled Prophecy in these verses will theorize that they were written after the fact, but the Great Isaiah Scroll from The Dead Sea Scrolls has them, as well as the Septuagint. Jesus, quoted these Passages, as did John The Baptist, Paul, and Peter. It was Isaiah 53 that the Ethiopian Eunuch was reading in his chariot (it is assumed he had a driver!), and asked Philip to explain it to him.

In these passages, Isaiah describes the Messiah as "a shoot from the dry ground". He also speaks of streams in the desert, and thirst-quenching springs of water.

The condition of my garden right now shows how heat and a week without the blessing of water can be a deadly combination.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

”Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.” (Hosea 6:3 NIV)

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Psalm 135

1 Praise the Lord!
Praise the name of the Lord;
give praise, O servants of the Lord,
2 you that stand in the house of the Lord,
in the courts of the house of our God.
3 Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good;
sing to his name, for he is gracious.
4 For the Lord has chosen Jacob for himself,
Israel as his own possession.

5 For I know that the Lord is great;
our Lord is above all gods.
6 Whatever the Lord pleases he does,
in heaven and on earth,
in the seas and all deeps.
7 He it is who makes the clouds rise at the end of the earth;
he makes lightnings for the rain
and brings out the wind from his storehouses.

8 He it was who struck down the firstborn of Egypt,
both human beings and animals;
9 he sent signs and wonders
into your midst, O Egypt,
against Pharaoh and all his servants.
10 He struck down many nations
and killed mighty kings—
11 Sihon, king of the Amorites,
and Og, king of Bashan,
and all the kingdoms of Canaan—
12 and gave their land as a heritage,
a heritage to his people Israel.

13 Your name, O Lord, endures for ever,
your renown, O Lord, throughout all ages.
14 For the Lord will vindicate his people,
and have compassion on his servants.

15 The idols of the nations are silver and gold,
the work of human hands.
16 They have mouths, but they do not speak;
they have eyes, but they do not see;
17 they have ears, but they do not hear,
and there is no breath in their mouths.
18 Those who make them
and all who trust them
shall become like them.

19 O house of Israel, bless the Lord!
O house of Aaron, bless the Lord!
20 O house of Levi, bless the Lord!
You that fear the Lord, bless the Lord!
21 Blessed be the Lord from Zion,
he who resides in Jerusalem.
Praise the Lord!

Joining in prayer.

At least you don’t have a big dog and a 16 year old beagle seeking shelter from the heat in your hostas. They are a “come back kid” plant variety. I have been watering, watering, watering in this sweltering heat. . even into the night.
