The Protestant Reformation in the 1500's literally changed the course of history. It helped bring Europe out of the Dark Ages, and led to the rise of true religious freedom. Its original principles, although not always followed, eventually found expression in the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America. When it comes to religion, the governments of earth have no right to control the conscience. True Protestantism teaches salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8), and the supremacy of the Bible above the visible church (2 Timothy 3:16) - above traditions, pastors, priests, popes and kings (See D'Aubigne's History of the Reformation of the Sixteen Century, book xiii, chapter vi, pp. 520-524). It also teaches the priesthood of all believers (2 Peter 2:9, 10), declaring that all people everywhere can be saved by coming directly to our loving heavenly Father through His only Son, Jesus Christ (John 14:6). "There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5).

Thank you very much and God bless you.
Protestants there are, but Protestantism is no more.” —Alexander Vinet
I am of the opinion that a person’s relationship with God has to be one on one and finding a Church that that celebrates his word and promotes it with no variance is a blessing. It seems as though numerous houses of worship will attempt to tweak Gods word and the end result is a falling away. All glory to God and his son Jesus Christ and never forget the Holy Spirit.

The Catholic Church will bring in the Antichrist.
You’re too late, because they are the Antichrist.
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them
WHO tempted Christ? Christians read right over that first doctrine of being a believer/follower of Christ ... and Christ even fasted 40 days to get ready to teach this lesson ...
Christ said let no ‘man/woman’ deceive you .... that is what the ‘first’ great tribulation literally is ‘mass deception’...
The author left out Whitefield in his list of characters.
(pronounced Whitfield)
From my eyes, I have seen Irish Catholic, Roman Catholic, French Catholic, and Eastern/ Orthodox, Russian Catholic....which one?
____The Catholic Church will bring in the Antichrist.___
Actually, scripture cleary describes Papal Rome as the agency with Satan works through for his end time Anti Christ work. From Daniel to Revelation, no other super power fits. Not even close.
The timelines, the claims, the colors, the history, the activity, this is why the Protestant Reformers were correct in their position that Papal Rome was the great apostate, the whore of babylon, the beast of Revelation.
A spiritual power who’s wound has healed and whom the world is once again beginning to marvel after.
It’s so bizarre that anyone would trust their souls to a group of men in robes who vote on who should lead this mass deception.
It’s the largest cult in the world ....people actually bowing down to a person, conferring upon him the perogatives of God alone....to absolve sin. To change the law of God. To condemn people to hell.
Frankly....they are very stupid foolish people. Utterly deceived by the most arrogant power in history.
The people who fall for it are often arrogant themselves......I call it...”Arrogance through ignorance.”
Being led to the slaughter instead of studying the scriptures for themselves....they are fed like sheep.
Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained” (John 20:22–23).
The arrogance is in your statement. It matches what the Pharases thought when Jesus forgave the paralyzed man.
You trust your soul to your own teaching and interpretation and look where it’s gotten you.
_____The arrogance is in your statement. It matches what the Pharases thought when Jesus forgave the paralyzed man.____
Only the human mind who believes a church that claims to be God on earth and it’s human priests can absolve sins, can twist a text and label someone else “arrogant.”
It’s laughable.
. It helped bring Europe out of the Dark AgesThe term "dark ages" comes from a reference by Petrarch to describe the times following the fall of Rome as compared to the classical period of Rome and Greece. The Catholic priest Caesar Baronius later applied it to the 10th and 11th centuries as the period lacked an historical record and not because the thinking of the period was "dark."
It’s laughable that you read what Jesus said to the apostles in the upper room and totally ignore it because your Protestant tradition tells you so.
____It’s laughable that you read what Jesus said to the apostles in the upper room and totally ignore it because your Protestant tradition tells you so.____
Protestants don’t ignore what Jesus said to the apostles in the upper room. We just have enough sense to read all the Bible and see the prophecy of the falling away of the church because of sheep like you who trust in human beings to interpret scripture for you, feeding you with a spoon while you open your mouths like babies and drink when they say drink.
God gave you a mind and when the church falls away from what it was called to do.....which he told us would happen, try using your mind instead of being led by your nose.
Cults are all the same. They worship a human instead of the divine creator.
Protestants ignore not just what Jesus said in the upper room but the bread of life discourse and James chapter 2. The same teachings have been there for 2K years but you think Mad Marty came along and suddenly said “Wait! You have it all wrong! I KNOW WHAT’S RIGHT!’.
THAT is what is ridiculous.
——>Protestants ignore not just what Jesus said in the upper room but the bread of life discourse and James chapter 2.
Not exactly sure what you’re referring to.
“Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained” (John 20:22–23).
James 2:24 (“You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.
Now let’s see the verbal gymnastics that are similar to when Jesus changes Simon’s name to Peter and says ‘Matthew 16:18: “You are Peter, and on this rock I will build my Church.”
