🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem 🇮🇱(5/26/25)[Prayer]

Water, Rivers, and Streams in the Bible
Exodus 2:11-25
11 One day, after Moses had grown up, he went out to where his own people were and watched them at their hard labor. He saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his own people. 12 Looking this way and that and seeing no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. 13 The next day he went out and saw two Hebrews fighting. He asked the one in the wrong, “Why are you hitting your fellow Hebrew?”
14 The man said, “Who made you ruler and judge over us? Are you thinking of killing me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses was afraid and thought, “What I did must have become known.”
15 When Pharaoh heard of this, he tried to kill Moses, but Moses fled from Pharaoh and went to live in Midian, where he sat down by a well. 16 Now a priest of Midian had seven daughters, and they came to draw water and fill the troughs to water their father’s flock. 17 Some shepherds came along and drove them away, but Moses got up and came to their rescue and watered their flock.
18 When the girls returned to Reuel their father, he asked them, “Why have you returned so early today?”
19 They answered, “An Egyptian rescued us from the shepherds. He even drew water for us and watered the flock.”
20 “And where is he?” Reuel asked his daughters. “Why did you leave him? Invite him to have something to eat.”
21 Moses agreed to stay with the man, who gave his daughter Zipporah to Moses in marriage. 22 Zipporah gave birth to a son, and Moses named him Gershom,[c] saying, “I have become a foreigner in a foreign land.”
23 During that long period, the king of Egypt died. The Israelites groaned in their slavery and cried out, and their cry for help because of their slavery went up to God. 24 God heard their groaning and he remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob. 25 So God looked on the Israelites and was concerned about them.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father in Heaven,
How Hallowed, Magnified, and Sanctified
is Your Most Holy Name!
How Blessed and How True is Your Word,
and How Mighty!
How Glorious, to Span the Millennia,
To be Unfettered by Time and Space,
To Know the End from the Beginning
and the Beginning from the End!
For it is You, Oh LORD,
Who designed the Galaxies with Your Compass,
And Mapped Out the Vast Reaches of Space
With Your Word and Your Omniscient Imagination.
Scientists tell us even the heavens are finite.
But YOU are Infinite!
LORD, remind us ALWAYS to Worship You,
and not Your Creation.
Your creation is there but to proclaim YOUR GLORY.
Hallelujah and Amen.
Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
”The Greatest Of these Is Love.”
If you would like to be on or off the Daily Ping List, please let me know.

Psalm 65
To the leader. A Psalm of David. A Song.
1 Praise is due to you,
O God, in Zion;
and to you shall vows be performed,
2 O you who answer prayer!
To you all flesh shall come.
3 When deeds of iniquity overwhelm us,
you forgive our transgressions.
4 Happy are those whom you choose and bring near
to live in your courts.
We shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house,
your holy temple.
5 By awesome deeds you answer us with deliverance,
O God of our salvation;
you are the hope of all the ends of the earth
and of the farthest seas.
6 By your* strength you established the mountains;
you are girded with might.
7 You silence the roaring of the seas,
the roaring of their waves,
the tumult of the peoples.
8 Those who live at earth’s farthest bounds are awed by your signs;
you make the gateways of the morning and the evening shout for joy.
9 You visit the earth and water it,
you greatly enrich it;
the river of God is full of water;
you provide the people with grain,
for so you have prepared it.
10 You water its furrows abundantly,
settling its ridges,
softening it with showers,
and blessing its growth.
11 You crown the year with your bounty;
your wagon tracks overflow with richness.
12 The pastures of the wilderness overflow,
the hills gird themselves with joy,
13 the meadows clothe themselves with flocks,
the valleys deck themselves with grain,
they shout and sing together for joy.

Once again we see a Romance blossoming at a Well. Isaac, Jacob, and now their Direct Descendant Moses all have this in common. While the stories have a Common Thread, they also have differences.
In Isaac's case, the visit was carried out by his father's servant. Although the Servant was merely an ambassador, he approached his task very seriously, with a Vow and a Prayer. He asked God for a sign that the girl was the right one for Isaac. Sure enough, Rebekah showed that she was the Intended Bride when she gave the Servant a drink of Water, and watered his camels as well.
Jacob approached the Well because he was "on the lam" after deceiving his father and brother Esau. He wasn't exactly looking for a Bride, but there she was. Jacob "showed off" for her by moving the heavy stone that covered the well. This was the beginning of a convoluted "romance" that would include two wives, two concubines, twelve sons, a daughter, and a trip to Egypt. It all started at that well.
Then we have Moses, also on the lam, for murder this time, and with no intentions of getting married. he comes upon a well in the desert and happens on a woman being bullied by other shepherds who want to use the well before she does. Moses springs into action, chases off the bullies, and goes from Zero to Hero in a matter of minutes. This is a particularly satisfying scene in "The Ten Commandments", Nobody likes bullies and we all rejoice when they are defeated.
It's interesting that this passage has come up Today, on Memorial Day, when we remember the Fallen. These men and Women who died in Service to Our Nation gave their lives not only for Our Freedoms, but often for the Freedom of others.
I was greatly moved by the Message engraved on the Korean War Memorial in Washington DC:
“Our Nation honors her sons and daughters who answered the call to defend a country they never knew and a people they never met”
Have a Blessed Memorial Day.
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
”Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.” (Hosea 6:3 NIV)
Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
