[Catholic Caucus] Leo XIV: Synodality with Ecumenism
Leo XIV, today, in Audience to Representatives of other Christian Communities and Other Religions:
"Aware, moreover, that synodality and ecumenism are closely related, I wish to assure my intention to continue Pope Francis' commitment to promoting the synodal character of the Catholic Church and developing new and concrete forms for an ever more intense synodality in the ecumenical field.
"Our common journey can and should also be understood in a broad sense, involving everyone, in the spirit of human brotherhood I mentioned above. Today is a time for dialogue and building bridges. And therefore I am glad and grateful for the presence of the Representatives of other religious traditions, who share the search for God and His will, which is always and only the will of love and life for men and women and for all creatures."

I support the new Pope.
I don’t support Bergoglio’s “Sin-Nodal” church.

In the Catholic Church, synodality signifies a collaborative process where the entire People of God (bishops, priests, laity) work together to discern the direction of the Church, guided by the Holy Spirit. It emphasizes “walking together” through dialogue, listening, and communal discernment to understand God’s will and make decisions. I’m laity.

No. You are not describing synodality in the Catholic Church; you are describing synodality in Frankenchurch.

During Mass, I strongly felt the spiritual presence of Pope Francis accompanying us from heaven. Pope Leo XIV
How about it, oystir? Do you, like Leo, know Francis is already in Heaven?

From the Catholic Encyclopedia:
Synod
When the bishops of the whole world are congregated under the presidency of the pope, the synod is denominated ecumenical or general. It is only to such an assembly that it is lawful to apply the term sancta synodus (see GENERAL COUNCILS).

That’s what I found on Google via AI. I read Catechism of the Catholic Church. So I’m a bit unsure.

While synodality is intended to foster collaboration and dialogue, it has been noted that it has not yet produced significant results in terms of apostolic commitment to preaching the Catholic Faith or converting non-Catholics (V0 Schneider Credo 2023 124:7).

c 12 I Ecclesiastes was king over Israel in Jerusalem, 13 And I proposed in my mind to seek and search out wisely concerning all things that are done under the sun. This painful occupation hath God given to the children of men, to be exercised therein. I think Soloman might be contemplating the fruits of his own labor.

17 And I have given my heart to know prudence, and learning, and errors, and folly: and I have perceived that in these also there was labour, and vexation of spirit, 18 Because In much wisdom there is much indignation: and he that addeth knowledge, addeth also labour. Ecclesiastes

No introduction nor comments were made regarding his address. Yet you flip your lid.

What do your bible quotes have to do Bergoglio's "synodality"?
Non-Catholics can and do participate in the Synod on Synodality. The Vatican actively encourages the involvement of non-Catholics and even non-Christians, as they offer unique perspectives and insights into the Church's interactions with the wider world.

May I ask you a question? Whom did you pray for today? What did you pray for? And why?

I prayed a rosary for the Holy Souls in Purgatory, especially for the repose of my father and grandparents and Pope Francis, my living family and friends, among other intentions.
I prayed the 19th day of the St. Joseph Novena.
I prayed to my guardian angel and also the St. Michael prayer. And I prayed this prayer for Pope Leo XIV:

And I said those prayers, and others, because I am a Catholic.
How about you, kawhill?

One reason why, these song lyrics:
I think about
Think about how many times I have fallen
Spirits are using me, larger voices calling
What Heaven brought you and me
Cannot be forgotten

It seems the bolded says all one needs to know.
