Our Father Who Art In Heaven,
How Blessed, Hallowed, and Sanctified
Is Your Most Holy Name!
We Worship You,
And You Alone,
For You Alone Are Worthy;
You Alone Are The One True God of The Universe!

We Plead With You,
That Our Leaders will be Led
by Your Holy Spirit and Your Eternal Word,
To Stand For

It was in 2000 that some well-meaning friends tried to convince me that there was NO WAY I could ever make a living doing MUSIC, so they convinced me to got to Real Estate School. The classroom was on the second floor, in a strip mall on a busy street (Oakland Park Blvd in Ft. Lauderdale), and the parking was in back. I still continued to do music while I was studying Real Estate, and worked out my schedule in such a way that I could do gigs in the late afternoon and evenings, and attend Real Estate Classes in the mornings, three days a week.

All my equipment, including a PA System, all my rigs and stands, and a $5000.00 keyboard were neatly stacked in the back of my Mercury Villager Mini-Van.

I had several gigs scheduled after class that day.
The lesson that day was about Littoral Property Rights. Those are the statutes that govern waterfront property on Lakes and Rivers. I had never heard the term before, but now I'll never forget it.
The sounds of sirens were common on Oakland Park Blvd, but these sirens seem really close. Then there was an explosive sound, and we all ran to the window to see firefighters pouring water on a burning car that was parked right next to mine. I ran downstairs and saw that all the windows in my car had exploded, due to the car getting hot and the cold water being sprayed on it.
After the authorities towed the burned car away without a word to me, I was able to drive home, sweep out the broken glass, and do my afternoon gig.

Since the burning car was obviously an "Insurance Job", the Police wouldn't give me the name of the owner, citing an "Impending Investigation". So, I had to pay the Deductible on a very expensive repair.
The Cold Water that saved my car from going up in flames had shattered all the windows in the car, but my Equipment and Instruments were unscathed.
Perhaps God was "Littorally" trying to tell me that Music was my Calling.
Today's Passage has to do with Real Estate, Fire, and Water. Abraham has been instructed to set up a strange assortment of sacrificial animals, which he arranges on the ground in a prescribed manner. God consumes the sacrifices with Fire, as He pronounces the Terms of the Covenant. The Covenant describes the property as extending from the River Euphrates to the "Wadi" (River Valley) of Egypt.
That's a lot bigger than the Israel of Modern Times.

God has never rescinded His Covenant, not has He "Passed Papers" with anybody else.
According to Florida Real Estate Law, Abraham and his descendants have "Littoral Rights" on both the Euphrates and the Nile.
No amount of "explosions" can change that.
