Pacific Lutheran University is a private Lutheran university in Parkland, Washington, that is sponsored and financially supported by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA.)
They recently hosted ‘Queer Prom,’ an event targeted at 14-24 year olds, in conjunction with the Oasis Youth Center. According to Campus Record, “The sign-up sheet for the dance asked attendees to list information including personal pronouns and offered 8 specific options for sexual orientation and 7 different genders to choose from.”
Along with dancing, the event features “prizes, direct advocacy, free condoms, pregnancy tests, and HIV testing.

Gimme some of that old time religion, lol.
The ELCA has about as much to do with Christianity as Planned Parenthood has to do with parenting.
Not only the overall WHY, also why do you need “pregnancy tests” at Queer Prom?
Sounds like some of them may be sneaking around with the other sex now and then.
All this for FOURTEEN year olds? Unbelievable.
14 year olds needing an AIDS test? We know where they got the AIDS too, from an adult.
HIV in 14 year olds from anal sex with adults? Is there anything more grotesque, sinful or evil?
Christianity is gutted.
Can it be started anew?
“...why do you need “pregnancy tests” at Queer Prom?...”
I was just thinking the same thing..........LOL

Was this posted on the cathedral door by ML?
How far has ELCA strayed from fundamentals?
Would that we could include the word “Lutheran” in quotes for these articles concerning the...

I spell “Sodomy” with a capital-S because it is the name of a religion.

Remember Dateline NBC’s To Catch a Predator with Chris Hansen? Remember that some of those men were coming in that house not to see a teen girl but a teen BOY? Some of those men were 50+ years old. Those are the ones Chris caught, there are millions out there he did not.
I think Martin Luther would have some big problems with this, including using his name to lend credibility. But I’m also sure the Chicken Hawks who organized this don’t give a rats ass what Martin Luther would have thought. They have grooming to do.
Can we stop calling the ELCA Lutheran? Or at least put quotation marks around it?

Agreed.
They talk out of both sides of their mouths,,one side sound doctrine, the other side support for gay clergy, among other things.

The Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity and the Lutheran World Federation underscore their commitment to walk together on their common journey from conflict to communion
By Vatican News staff writer
The Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity and the Lutheran World Federation recently announced the publication of the updated Italian translation of the historic ecumenical document called the Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Justification.
A post on the Council’s website notes that by launching the updated document on January 3rd, the day this year when Catholics and Lutherans recall the 500th anniversary of the excommunication of Martin Luther, both the Lutheran World Federation and the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity underscore their commitment to walk together on their common journey from conflict to communion.

Let me first say how important it was in ecumenical dialogue between Catholics and Lutherans 20 years ago, when we reached an agreement on the Doctrine of Justification.
Most people may not think of it as something very important, but it is fundamental because it goes to the very heart of the Gospel and it goes to the very heart of the controversies that separated Lutherans and Catholics in the 16th century.
Many will remember that Lutherans insisted - that Luther insisted - on the fact that we are saved by the grace of Christ: in faith. Catholics (on the other hand) supposedly insisted that we had to do good works.
This is the question that has always hung over the conflict between the Protestant Reformed Movement and the Catholic Church..

No. They have as much right to call themselves lutheran as anyone else.
I get that you don't like it.
Too bad.
Satan must be so proud of these whacky Lutherans.
