The experience of Catholicism today does not resemble the descriptions of previous generations. Catholics used to describe the faith as immutable. Some celebrated the comfort of changelessness, the sense that here was something truly eternal; haters lamented the blockheaded institutional obstinacy. Now the experience is transience, not intransigence. Half the parishes are gone, the greatest transience of all. The rest swing like pendula between liberal and conservative. The parish my mom attended had a pastor who liked all the liberal trappings: ad-lib consecration, applause during Mass, goofball sermons with lots of laughs, the usual. Then came a conservative pastor who changed the whole style of the parish: strict use of the Roman canon, no female lectors, no altar girls, more statues of saints and more money spent on altar decorations. Then he left, and the liberal touches came back….

Thank you very much and God bless you.
If a tyrant had died, would we all be obliged to speak well of him? To sing his praises? Or to remain stone silent with respect? No. Absolutely not. Nor would any person in his right mind think so.
Many of us saw Francis as a tyrant. The evidence in support of such a serious charge was already substantial back in 2018, when Marcantonio Colonna’s “The Dictator Pope” came out from Regnery (author’s real name: H.J.A. Sire, whose “Phoenix from the Ashes” is the best history of the modern Church). As Sire admitted in a 2023 article at 1P5 (link below), the subsequent years both vindicated and luxuriously amplified his original claims.
My impression again and again over the past 12 years is that many have chosen to live in denial, refusing to look at the evidence that has been painstakingly gathered, again and again, by those who care about the Catholic Church, her governance, her orthodoxy, her tradition, and the souls of her faithful. And today, one sees this refusal hardening into a fantastical hagiography divorced from the harsh reality.
This attitude of “see no evil, hear no evil,” be it born of malformed piety or hyperpapalism or laziness, is not some kind of invincible ignorance. It is very definitely vincible. And that has serious spiritual consequences, which may become eternal consequences. That is why I and others do not cease to cry out with a thousand social media tongues.

Also, in researching Church history I found that I agreed with the Orthodox position on the matters that caused the Great Schism.
The Pope over-reached, and tried to place himself above all others. Absolute power corrupts absolutely, and there has been the sort of corruption in the Catholic Church that one would expect of an all-mighty Pope, who was (until the reformation) the supreme authority in Western Europe.
Anyway, the Catholics have a wonderful tradition, and are the church that Western Europe was built upon, I hope only for its redemption, but I think it's a long shot.
The degenerate, immoral, bad nature of these creeps cannot be exaggerated.
“ I now identify with the Eastern Orthodox tradition”
They’re crap too.
Obviously inconsequential so their patheticness isn’t on any radar screen.
But they’re crap.
The way you spew filth in regard to our Holy Farther is sick. You don’t have to sing his praise nor appreciate his behavior but you must not blaspheme a Preist. That is a most sacred person that practices the sacraments, chief among them is the sacrifice of the Mass. You obviously are frustrated as we all are but you are joining in the chorus of the devil and his demons by bearing false witness against a dead priest.
Polar opposite of what’s in your profile.
“4th Degree Knight of Columbus, Member, Sons of Confederate Veterans. Catholic Gentleman.”
Polar opposite.
I’ll pray for you, my brother Knight.
We can blaspheme a priest when he’s engaged in pederasty. Why not a Pope who has seriously weakened the Church?
“Holy Farther”
Ya lost me right there.
I tried to get past it but up comes another bump in the road : “Preist”??
Then you mention the “chorus of the devil” and I think, “Okay, he/she is talking about the “holy Roman Catholic Church”” —- but NO! You weren’t so I wrote this reply.
Francis was horrible.
The deep state around him are horrible.
I am disgusted with the Vatican.
It’s bad.
How are Catholics going to do something about it?
My family attends an SSPX chapel. One of the many benefits is that I can trust the priests to speak out against Modernist compromises against the Faith.
They teach the same Faith regardless of who the Pope or the local bishop is. They teach the same Faith which was passed down to my ancestors, regardless of those who will shout that they aren’t really Catholic, or that they “hate the Pope”.
When a Pope (including John Paul II- who was much more popular than Francis) or any Bishop scandalizes the Faithful they respectfully speak out against it.
We should always remember the last truly infallible statement by a Pope was on November 1st, 1950. Vatican II is by no means infallible and in many areas is a clear departure from what has always been taught.
And when a Bishop (or Pope) obviously threatens one’s Faith or the Faith of one’s family- then one has not only the right but the duty to protect themselves and those under their authority.
“May God comfort you. I know moreover that not only this thing saddens you, but also the fact that while others have obtained the churches by violence, you are meanwhile cast out from your places. For they hold the places, but you the Apostolic Faith.”— St. Athanasisus.
You don’t believe in the Holy Farther? Does your Church even have any preists? It’s a sad state of thee thymes wee live inn, I tell ya’.
I’m not bipolar.
I’m not dyslexic.
I WAS “Catholic” but God led me to the Truth and I got away from that endless, hopeless tradition that leads people STRAIGHT TO HELL.
Hell is the ‘saddest state’ - Leave the bondage as fast as you can. Ask God for his revelation of Truth. Leave your best effort behind. Receive the free gift of life - today would be good.
Thanks, I'm not under bondage but I have the free Grace God extends to His believers.
Ask God for his revelation of Truth.
I read the Bible (Gods Word) and understand what He is saying.
So glad you are not bipolar or dyslexic but I never asked.
You gleefully went into bondage by rejecting the church Jesus started for one that fit your itching ears. You denied the sacraments that Jesus gave us.
Bergoglio was a tyrant in Argentina who covered for homosexual predators. There’s a reason he didn’t visitArgentina as pope. The families of children sexually abused by priests have a long memory. He also covered for sexual predator priest as pope. He also despised faithful Catholics trying to live their lives according to the Bible and the tenants of the Catholic Church. I
Awww
That’s so cute!
You wrote.
Fun!!

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.
The destruction of the Church founded by Jesus Christ was launched on October 1, 1962 by the Second Vatican Council. And Satan’s Pope Francis was ordered to complete the destruction tout suite. The result is what Archbishop LeFebvre aptly renamed the Conciliar Church. The remnant of the 2,000 year old Church One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic has been successfully driven into the modern equivalent of the Catacombs. As a result no Tridentine Mass is offered within a hundred miles of my home, so I’ve moved on to the Old Calendar Orthodox Church about 40 minutes drive from home. For those unaware, the three original Apostolic Sees established in the first century AD were located in Rome, Antioch, and Alexandria and recognized as such by the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD. It’s a great comfort knowing that Antioch was and is an original Patriarchate in what became the Orthodox Christian world, that the first time the followers of Jesus were referred to as “Christians” was in Antioch (Acts 11:26).
Cuter trick that you can read.
Most of your ilk can’t.
“I guess the Lord isn’t done with me yet,” he (ex-cardinal McCarrick) told the pope.
“Or the devil doesn’t have your accommodations ready!” Francis shot back with a laugh."
They died 18 days apart.
