"What did Trump just say about Jesus that made some Christians absolutely lose their minds?"

The truth is that Christians do not become furious in an instant.
Most take a longer look at the matter and then make a disciplined decision.
Donald Trump does not “make Christians Furious.”
But he does call it right when he says, “FAKE NEWS!”
If I remember correctly, Trump also said that Jesus died to save us from our sins. There are pastors who talk a lot about anything but sin. I do think that being saved from almost-certain death has done things in Trump’s heart, and I also wonder if he is realizing along with the rest of this that it is only God’s intervention that can save us from the mess we’ve collectively made of our world, as well as our own personal sins.
I join him in his prayer that the Holy Spirit would be poured out in our land. We need that even more desperately than we need the air we breathe.
Good message,
along with the rest of US
Can we have a recap, please, so we don’t have to watch the whole video? Or is this a clickbait headline?
We are patient with new Christians.
XLNT !
It’s not very long.
But he affirmed the historic Christian message about Christ’s redemptive work and resurrection.
He also prayed for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
The poster says that some people claim that a man with a past dare not say these things, but the Bible affirms that Christ died to save us WHILE WE WERE STILL SINNERS.

Christian awkwardness
Not that God cares one wit
I couldn’t agree more.
💯.
“Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”
Now that you say that, it makes me think that Trump more and more resembles the penitent thief and his enemies - even those who say they’re Christian - more and more resemble the thief who mocked Christ.
“a man with a past”? President Donald J Trump has less blood on his hands than King David did...and YET...
Clickbait. Not going to bother to watch.
It is a click bait headline. But it’s a good video, what I saw of it.
Any person who becomes furious over what Trump said is not a Christian, so no, Trump did not make Christians furious.
That's the entire point. He wants those of us with a past to leave that past behind and go down the right path with Him.
Yes.
There was a time when Trump was asked something about whether he asked God for forgiveness, and at the time he said not really. At the time I remember thinking he was probably more of a cultural “Christian” than a real one. But he still understood justice better than most.
I think that as time has gone on, he has learned from his suffering - and especially realizing that he really needs God. Bill Maher was derided by the left because he said that in person Trump was able to poke fun at himself. We’ve seen this in his speeches too but the left wants us to think he is this arrogant person who only cares about himself. That may have been true at one point, but he’s definitely been showing how much he cares about other people and about bringing them safety, prosperity, and honor.
IOW, he’s a normal guy that the Lord is working with and through, just like all of us sinners.
Yes.
And this is why the whole “cancel culture” is an ANTI-Christian thing, even though its purveyors portray themselves as the self-appointed arbiters of all that is right and good.
All of history is the story of God working in the lives of fallen mankind. Anybody who doesn’t realize that is arrogant beyond comprehension. “If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.” Wanting to cancel anybody who has sinned - but thinking that doesn’t include yourself - is self-deception and a denial of our own sin.
