My bad, all around:

Jesus told his disciples to sell their cloak and buy a sword during the Last Supper, as recorded in Luke 22:36-38. This instruction is given in the context of the disciples preparing for the upcoming trials and suffering that Jesus would face, and also for them to be prepared for their own future ministry.
More specifically, the verses state: “Now, however, he who has a purse must take it along with his bag, and he who has no sword must sell his cloak and buy one.”
