Beloved, this Palm Sunday, many "Christians" like Israel of old will assume and profess that they know Jesus, but tragically, "their" Jesus is not the Jesus of the Bible. In making their "own" Jesus, they have rejected the Biblical Jesus and will find themselves ETERNALLY desolate on the Day of Judgement. In light of this thought, I just wanted to share this brief, powerful poem written by Geo. O'hara. In conclusion of this poem, please be sure that you possess the Biblical Jesus, which comes by faith alone in His RIGHTEOUS Character. In doing so you will NEVER be the same (John 1:12; Acts 16:28-31; 1 John 2:2; 4:8-10; 5:13).
Why call Me Lord, Lord and do not the things I say?
You call Me the Way and walk Me not! You call Me the Life and live Me not! You call Me Master and obey Me not! You call Me Bread and eat Me not! You call Me Truth and believe Me not! You call Me Lord and serve Me not! If I condemn you, blame Me not.
Geoffrey O’Hara
Not everyone that saith unto me Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many shall come to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name? And in Thy name cast out devils? and in Thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I NEVER KNEW YOU; DEPART FROM ME YE THAT WORK INIQUITY. (Matthew 7:21-23)
And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? (Luke 6:46) --- "If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. (John 14:15)
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. (John 14:21)
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. (John 14:23)
The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!
Do You Know Jesus as Your Personal Savior?
FALSANI:
Who’s Jesus to you?
(He laughs nervously)
OBAMA:
Right.
Jesus is an historical figure for me, and he’s also a bridge between God and man, in the Christian faith, and one that I think is powerful precisely because he serves as that means of us reaching something higher.
And he’s also a wonderful teacher. I think it’s important for all of us, of whatever faith, to have teachers in the flesh and also teachers in history.

Why didn’t anyone in the bible use the phrase “personal savior”?
If this guy is so big on sticking to only what the bible says, why does he insist on using a phrase that the bible does not?
“Drivin’ o0 I ain’t scary...”
Coul not resist...
Driving 90... arggh
Jesus said that you must be born again. There’s nothing more personal than your birth.
I kind of cringe at the terminology of ‘personal savior’, but in contrast to my own ‘corporate saviour’ i.e. being saved by my denomination, I think personal savior is acceptable.
That is a very good question. Before even trying to create the “correct” response to a question like that, I would ask him to define either definition.
Sometimes, we can get caught up in words and phrases for their own sake. Is he trying to trap someone in giving the “wrong” answer, just for the pleasure of feeling superior?
What is his point?
“Jesus said that you must be born again.”
It’s always struck me that Evangelicals emphasize this quote from the bible, but then immediately jump to a totally unbiblical take on it.
They always say that water Baptism is just a SYMBOL of your faith, that being baptised in actual water isn’t important or necessary.
But Jesus directly says the exact opposite in the bible. He never calls it a symbol.
He actually says that it is essential for salvation.
Am I wrong?
Why do they call it merely a “symbol” if the bible never says anything like that?
Why do they say it isn’t essential for salvation if Jesus in the bible says it is?
Why would evangelicals who profess to emphasize what the bible says, continually preach the exact opposite of what it says?
C’mon, haven’t you heard! HE gets US!!!
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.
Personal Savior may apply in the sense that when we are judged no one else will be considered or present. Hitler and Pol Pot will not be there for purposes of comparison.
Though to be honest I’ve ever liked the sound of personal Savior myself either.
We were all born again through the resurrection
1Peter 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade.
Jesus didn’t come in hopes that we would invite him into our lives. He came to take what was rightfully his back into the relationship with the Father
Colossians 1:17,20 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
20and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
The cross wasn’t transactional. Our sins were erased, and we will never be judged on them. Our works are a different story. Although free from sin, you will stand before the throne to explain what we did with the gift that was given to you; salvation.
1 Corinthians 3:10By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. 11For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. 14If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. 15If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames.
The Kingdom of God comes through a personal relationship, not reciting the sinners prayer. I’m sure many will come to Him quoting verses from the KJV and will be surprised when they hear “Away from me I never knew you”
John 5:39You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, 40yet you refuse to come to me to have life.

There’s a song in there somewhere - thump thump thump

Be kindJesus is living water,

Your own conception. Your own truths. Divorce? Ok. Make up the rules and be happy all the time. You are saved. There is no evil one, or purgatory. Only pie in the sky prosperity for those who believe in the correct way... bla bla
I didn’t like those ads either, frankly
I hated to see David Green be a part of that
It’s a Depeche Mode song. Yikes. Simmer down.

Once again I jumped to conclusions. Tomorrow is Palm Sunday. Go to church and have a holy, Holy Week.
If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you are going to the wrong church.
‘ If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you are going to the wrong church.’
I do know what you’re talking about, and I don’t go to church.
Your misplaced outrage and apology has been noticed.
Personal Savior...
The writings of John are chuck loaded with the idea. Just search the words Whoever, The One Who, He Who, Everyone Who, Anyone,...
