Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father in Heaven,
How Hallowed,
Magnificent,
and Blessed
is Your Most Holy Name!
How Present and True is Your Word,
and How Mighty!
How Glorious,
to Span the Millennia,
To be Unfettered by Time and Space,
To Know The End from the Beginning
and the Beginning from The End!
For it is You, Oh LORD,
Who designed the Galaxies with Your Compass,
And Mapped Out the Vast Reaches of Space
With Your Word and Your Omniscient Imagination!
LORD, remind us ALWAYS to Worship You,
and not Your Creation.
Your creation is there but to proclaim YOUR GLORY.

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.

”The Greatest Of these Is Love.”

There are many self-appointed "Spell Check And Grammar Control Officers" on the Internet. Some even reside on this site. 🤔

Since this is a Devotional Thread, the SCAGCOs are not allowed to besmirch it with their "corrections". Rules are Rules. If the SCAGCOs ,(otherwise known as grammar nazis), were allowed on Devotional Threads, I would be cited at least once a day. I completely ignore the Rules of Capitalization, for example. I capitalized words I like, and don't capitalized words that I deem undeserving of the honor. I never capitalize the proper name of the enemy of our souls, in any of its manifestations. Sometimes, Automated Spell Check will correct it, but I don't offer it.

My Mom, may she rest in peace, would not be happy that I am openly, in an International Forum, flouting the Rules Of English Grammar. As a teenager, I found it incredibly irksome that Mom would correct my Grammar, Tenses, Syntax, and Sentence Structure when I was trying to express myself. Now, however, I am very grateful to her for "Training me up in the way I should go". If Mom hadn't been so correct about the English Language, would I have been able to write a new Thread every day for fifteen years? I don't think so. To this day, I try very hard to speak and write correctly, even when I'm texting. Texting is the worst, because I still use a "flip-phone" with buttons. It's my last little shred of rebellion against the World System...that, and Capitalization. 😁

God mandated in the Torah certain Feast Days that were so important that they were to be observed in perpetuity. These Holy Days are still practiced by Jewish People all over the World, thousands of years later.

Rather than these Holy Days being a remnant of an Ancient Civilization, they are Illustrative and Prophetic. The most obvious Parallel would be the Passover, with the Blood of the Lamb causing the Angel of Death to "pass over" the homes of Believers. Christians all over the World have seen the Correlation for two Millennia. Some of the parallels aren't nearly as clear.

Five weeks after Passover comes another Mandatory Feast called Pentecost. That's the Greek word for "Fifty", as Five Weeks plus one more day equals fifty days. Fifty Days after Jesus was crucified (on Passover), the Apostles were still gathered in Jerusalem, wondering what would be next. It had been a week since the Risen Jesus had ascended to Heaven, it was another Holy Day, and Jerusalem was filled with people from all over the known world. The Apostles, however, were huddled in an upper room with some other disciples, afraid to venture out.

Suddenly, the room was filled with Light. There was the sound of a Rushing Wind. Tongues of Fire appeared over the heads of the occupants of the room, and they began to speak in other languages. Peter becomes emboldened and inspired, and goes outside to preach the Good News.

This is considered the Birth of the Church. Peter tells the crowd that the Promise is not just for their generation, but for generations to come, till the End of Time.

The Holy Spirit is the Same, Yesterday, Today, and Forever.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

”Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.” (Hosea 6:3 NIV)

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Psalm 116

1 I love the Lord, because he has heard
my voice and my supplications.
2 Because he inclined his ear to me,
therefore I will call on him as long as I live.
3 The snares of death encompassed me;
the pangs of Sheol laid hold on me;
I suffered distress and anguish.
4 Then I called on the name of the Lord:
‘O Lord, I pray, save my life!’

5 Gracious is the Lord, and righteous;
our God is merciful.
6 The Lord protects the simple;
when I was brought low, he saved me.
7 Return, O my soul, to your rest,
for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.

8 For you have delivered my soul from death,
my eyes from tears,
my feet from stumbling.
9 I walk before the Lord
in the land of the living.
10 I kept my faith, even when I said,
‘I am greatly afflicted’;
11 I said in my consternation,
‘Everyone is a liar.’

12 What shall I return to the Lord
for all his bounty to me?
13 I will lift up the cup of salvation
and call on the name of the Lord,
14 I will pay my vows to the Lord
in the presence of all his people.
15 Precious in the sight of the Lord
is the death of his faithful ones.
16 O Lord, I am your servant;
I am your servant, the child of your serving-maid.
You have loosed my bonds.
17 I will offer to you a thanksgiving sacrifice
and call on the name of the Lord.
18 I will pay my vows to the Lord
in the presence of all his people,
19 in the courts of the house of the Lord,
in your midst, O Jerusalem.
Praise the Lord!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem. Praying that during this Holy time in Israel and around the world that MANY will encounter the love and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, Redeemer and the ATONEMENT for sin once for all!

Had to chuckle about capitalization! LOL... I have a would be English teacher friend, who I almost dread texting sometimes! LOLOL
