🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem 🇮🇱(4/2/25)[Prayer]

Names and Titles of God the Holy Spirit
(Spirit of Life) 2 Corinthians 3:6

18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Almighty and Eternal Father,
How Glorious and Wonderful You Are!
Your Magnificence and Perfection are Overwhelming.
And yet, even more so, Your Justice,
Your Righteousness,
and Your Profound Holiness!
For It is You Who Made All That Exists,
From the Mightiest Galaxies to the Tiniest Atom.
You Know Us Inside and Out.
Our Hearts and Thoughts belong to You.
For You Alone Are Worthy,
You Alone Are LORD,
You Alone Are The One True God of Abraham,
and Indeed of ALL People.
Your Promises and Precepts are Eternal.
Your Judgments and Word are Forever True.
There is No Shadow of Turning With You.
You Are Faithful Even When We Are Not.
You ARE The Truth.
Let God be True,
and every man be a liar.
Let others choose whom they may serve,
but as for me and my house,
We Shall Serve You, Abba.
And in serving YOU,
We Choose to Believe and Obey Your Word.

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.

”The Greatest Of these Is Love.”

If you would like to be on or off the Daily Ping List, please let me know.

Names and Titles of God the Holy Spirit
(Spirit of Life) 2 Corinthians 3:6

6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

King James Version

________________________

On the Wall in the Book Department of my Favorite Thrift Store (Good Deeds, Pembroke MA) there used to be a sign:

"I LOVE BIG BOOKS
AND I CAN NOT LIE"

Beneath the sign were dozens of "Coffee Table Books", which were too BIG for the shelves.

Coffee Table Books can cover a lot of subjects, Fine Art, Motorcycles, Classic Cars, Sports, or whatever hobby suits you. They were very popular in the 1990's and were even satirized in the TV Comedy Seinfeld. The Character Kramer had written a Coffee Table Book that was so big it could be used as a coffee table. In fact, it came with fold-up legs for that very purpose.

Coffee Table books were often lavishly illustrated, but somewhat short on actual text. A different kind of "Big Book" would be a novel over 600 or so pages. Russian Novels often fit into this kind of "Big Book". A common joke in cartoons and slapstick comedy is getting hit on the head with a copy of Leo Tolstoy's War and Peace. (I really liked that book!), but that's not the longest novel ever written. That honor goes to Les Miserables, by Victor Hugo. According to Wikipedia, it grabs the prize with 655,478 words in the original French. I have never read the unabridged version, but oddly enough, when I read abridged versions I had a sense that they were missing something.

I suppose the Bible qualifies as a "Big Book". At least it is treated that way, even by religious people. "Pocket" New Testaments abound, but there are even smaller books, like a Gospel of John that is as small as a Credit Card, or a slim volume that only contains the Four Gospels and the Book of Acts. Some Pocket New Testaments also have Psalms and Proverbs included, and they are still small enough to carry around. For years I carried around a "pocket" King James, with BOTH Testaments, but the print was so tiny that it was barely legible. "Carrying it around" is useless if one can't READ it. On the other hand, there are some Bibles that are so huge that they qualify as "Coffee Table Books". (CAUTION! NOT TO BE USED TO HIT SOMEONE ON THE HEAD!)

Then there are the Bibles with real leather covers. These Bibles tend to "flop" when lifted aloft in a sermon. There were folks who would test the leather Bibles in the Bookstore where I worked to see how nicely they "flopped" while preaching. I'm NOT making this up.

At a satanic "convention" in Boston a few years ago, a speaker tore up a King James Bible on stage. If it had been a Koran, there would have been a Fatwa and sentence of death put on that person. Why, you may ask, didn't the Christian Community respond with more outrage over that blasphemous act?

The answer is that the book itself is merely paper, ink, cardboard, glue, leather, and thread. The act was disrespectful, but The Word of God wasn't damaged by it. The Inspiration of The Holy Spirit isn't dependent upon a perishable substance like paper. It's not "held together" by glue and thread. It can be translated into every language known to man, and say the same thing.

It's not even as long as War and Peace, but whole sections of it can be committed to memory. Even if it's NOT memorized, the Spirit of the Book can be internalized and change one's life.

The purpose of this Life-Changing is to share it with other. The Holy Spirit is the One Who gives us the Power and Authority to be Ministers of this Gift.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

So sorry. I posted the wrong Scripture passage in the Opening Post. The CORRECT Passage is:

6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

”Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.” (Hosea 6:3 NIV)

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Psalm 37

Of David.

1 Do not fret because of the wicked;
do not be envious of wrongdoers,
2 for they will soon fade like the grass,
and wither like the green herb.

3 Trust in the Lord, and do good;
so you will live in the land, and enjoy security.
4 Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.

5 Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him, and he will act.
6 He will make your vindication shine like the light,
and the justice of your cause like the noonday.

7 Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him;
do not fret over those who prosper in their way,
over those who carry out evil devices.

8 Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath.
Do not fret—it leads only to evil.
9 For the wicked shall be cut off,
but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land.

10 Yet a little while, and the wicked will be no more;
though you look diligently for their place, they will not be there.
11 But the meek shall inherit the land,
and delight in abundant prosperity.

12 The wicked plot against the righteous,
and gnash their teeth at them;
13 but the Lord laughs at the wicked,
for he sees that their day is coming.

14 The wicked draw the sword and bend their bows
to bring down the poor and needy,
to kill those who walk uprightly;
15 their sword shall enter their own heart,
and their bows shall be broken.

16 Better is a little that the righteous person has
than the abundance of many wicked.
17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
but the Lord upholds the righteous.

18 The Lord knows the days of the blameless,
and their heritage will abide for ever;
19 they are not put to shame in evil times,
in the days of famine they have abundance.

20 But the wicked perish,
and the enemies of the Lord are like the glory of the pastures;
they vanish—like smoke they vanish away.

21 The wicked borrow, and do not pay back,
but the righteous are generous and keep giving;
22 for those blessed by the Lord shall inherit the land,
but those cursed by him shall be cut off.

23 Our steps* are made firm by the Lord,
when he delights in our* way;
24 though we stumble,* we* shall not fall headlong,
for the Lord holds us* by the hand.

25 I have been young, and now am old,
yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken
or their children begging bread.
26 They are ever giving liberally and lending,
and their children become a blessing.

27 Depart from evil, and do good;
so you shall abide for ever.
28 For the Lord loves justice;
he will not forsake his faithful ones.

The righteous shall be kept safe for ever,
but the children of the wicked shall be cut off.
29 The righteous shall inherit the land,
and live in it for ever.

30 The mouths of the righteous utter wisdom,
and their tongues speak justice.
31 The law of their God is in their hearts;
their steps do not slip.

32 The wicked watch for the righteous,
and seek to kill them.
33 The Lord will not abandon them to their power,
or let them be condemned when they are brought to trial.

34 Wait for the Lord, and keep to his way,
and he will exalt you to inherit the land;
you will look on the destruction of the wicked.

35 I have seen the wicked oppressing,
and towering like a cedar of Lebanon.*
36 Again I* passed by, and they were no more;
though I sought them, they could not be found.

37 Mark the blameless, and behold the upright,
for there is posterity for the peaceable.
38 But transgressors shall be altogether destroyed;
the posterity of the wicked shall be cut off.

39 The salvation of the righteous is from the Lord;
he is their refuge in the time of trouble.
40 The Lord helps them and rescues them;
he rescues them from the wicked, and saves them,
because they take refuge in him.
