They had many local options to be patron saint - I would've thought it ought to be St. Chad of Mercia :)
I always considered the Episcopal Church to be “Catholic Lite” - it get the feeling the saying, “How goes California - so goes the rest of the nation” may be apropos using the Episcopal Church and Catholic Church as the objects in the sentence.
No different than than Solomon’s Temple eventually allowing other altars and gods in to be worshiped there. When I read of such abominations I remember what Ezekiel saw in chapters 8 and 9.
4 The Lord said to him, “Go through the city of Jerusalem[g] and put a mark[h] on the foreheads of the people who moan and groan over all the abominations practiced in it.”
5 While I listened, he said to the others,[i] “Go through the city after him and strike people down; do not let your eye pity nor spare[j] anyone!
6 Old men, young men, young women, little children, and women—wipe them out! But do not touch anyone who has the mark. BEGIN AT MY SANCTUARY!”
The chickification of yet another organization. Hit tip to Rush Limbaugh.

Gee, didn’t White used to mean Purity?
Can’t have any of that!
The LGBTQ+ crowd has to destroy everything
My friends have been members of the local Methodist church for years. A split occurred a short time ago and I think the story is that they can’t use “Methodist” any more in their name.
Now it’s “Starburst” or something. The first service under the new format was Sunday. My friends couldn’t leave fast enough. It’s exactly what you’d expect from a church named Starbust. They’re never going back.
There might be pride stuff, but they’re pretty old and may not be clued in to recognizing anything to do with that.
“If you showed this to an Episcopalian 150 years ago they'd say, "What the heck is that?" And then after you explained to them what the "pride" movement was, they'd probablyBetween the administrations of George Washington (1789–1797) and Gerald Ford (1974–1977), all before the Episcopal Church USA elevated LGBT to canon status, twelve of the 38 U.S. Presidents in those years were either Episcopalian or Methodist Episcopal. Morality and heterosexuality were intertwined as a matter of religous belief and practical social structure so that the biological parents would raise children, not government.laugh in your face and not believe youbeat you with a walking stick and have you arrested for obscenity.”
What the Episcopal Church both here and in UK has become is no longer fit for the dogs. The Methodist Episcopal church died in the 1960s.
The Church Universal needs its own Donald Trump: a reformer of firm conviction, helped by the Spirit and grounded in God's Word.
That one is pretty accurate - swiping again
The Episcopal church is hardly “Catholic lite” - it is the outcome of Elizabeth I’s compromise Church.
The Thirty-Nine Articles are broad, allowing varied interpretations.
Anglican seminarians in the 1800s started reading what the early Church believed and practiced in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd centuries AD and they all realized that those early Christians were Catholic.
However at the end of the day, they are one of the groups that broke away, and just like other groups that broke away, the group is dying or dead.
The UK needs pols who love their country as much as Japan’s ambassador to the UK does...
